Why would someone leave PP?

Yes, the reps are accountable for everything. If they miss quota, they are eventually dismissed. The managers have no accountability and just blame reps for lack of performance which is the worst things leadership could ever do. This is one of the several reasons why this conpany is so toxic and dysfunctional! There is absolutely no consequence for the executive directors and above for lack of performance, even though they are the biggest part of the problem! They just love to dole out the pips!!
Please dismiss me sooner than later. This company is horrendous in every sense of the word.

This is only good if you are picking up a 2nd job. If this is your primary, immediately keep applying for jobs. The only reps making money are the ones that have doctors writing off lable. The coverage is so bad. Doctors finally give up or get mad that you keep promoting a drug their patients cannot get. Also every script will require a PA except a few commercial. And the comments above are correct, no accountability at the management level.

The only upside to this job, is you can get "Specialty Pharma" on your resume. That alone will help you find a better job.

I am curious. Who in this company negotiates with commercial insurance plans? Some states are liberal with covering our product. Some states are not. Who is responsible for better coverage at the state level?
Companies for whom I have worked previously take such things as poor insurance coverage, into consideration when setting goals. Thus evening the playing field.
And how are prescribers able to get our product when prescribing off label? Wouldn’t off-label prescribing trigger red flags?

Nothing makes sense at this dysfunctional biotech. If you want to call it that. You will not find a worse managed care situation in this industry than with this organization. How long has this product been on the market now? And yet the managed care coverage appears to be getting worse. Poor insurance coverage and unrealistic goals are the foundation of a toxic work environment.
