Why is the Director of Training position open?

I am a Director of Training at a biotech. I love training, love people, work hard and like to have fun.

The problem is I wanted to apply but have heard soooo must negativity that it is disheartening. Can someone objective give me insight?

Why all the bad press about the Training department at Eisai? Training is not held in very high regard at Eisai. It has been a dumping ground at Eisai and some people were invited to join training whom did not have very much experience in adult learning or luck in the field as a Rep/DM/RBD. The positions are graded lower than DMs and not well respected in this organization. IF you choose to apply and are hired for this position...just keep in mind that you will have to quickly make serious changes on how trainers are viewed and really fight for your recommendations to be respected as well as taken. You wanted honest that is as honest as I can get!!!

If you have other option, then do not apply. If you you need money, then apply.

I am poster #15 and thank all of you for that. I turned around training where I am...SAME darn thing. It was not viewed as important and it truly is very critical.

I don't need to leave my company but I do look for challenges and better opportunities. I have heard all negative things about Eisai and it is sad. Thanks for the feedback.

BTW - does anyone know what the salary is for this position?

I seriously doubt you are who you say you are. What person with any respectable level of intelligence or common sense reaches conclusions about a company or its culture from reading cafepharma? Get lost.
