Why are there so many reps and still so many diabetes managers in one territory

It really is so bad...and makes no sense at all. Cut D4...and put legacy amylin in specialty jobs and scale back the rest....it is way too many managers....there are districts with less than 10 reps.....cut back managers by having all districts more than 10 people....stop the madness already...

We have lots of fun here at the hotel in town. Secret outings and lots of stuff going on.

Legacy Amylin? We had to to absorb them as DS3 and then 6 months later decide to start another specialty sales force. That is almost as dumb as making all of the contract-inventiv reps full time employees with no posting of the jobs.
What's next - will we be joining with the cardiovascular sales force and call it some type of BS synergy?

People, please why aren't you buying management's philosophy of the Alliance?

Webster's dictionary defines Alliance as:

a union between people, groups, countries, etc. : a relationship in which people agree to work together

: the state of being joined in some activity or effort : the state of being allied

: a group of people, countries, etc., that are joined together in some activity or effort

It's all plain and simple, how are you not seeing what it's all about . . . if we are leading as one, than the bigger the one is the better and our customers will be hearing about our franchise from the big one of which there is none other.

Yes, I drank the cool aid in order to lose my sanity and be like them.

When i started with Squibb in 1972 my Division was in parts of 4 states. At one point I figured that with new internal multiple sales forces, co-promtions, and businesses sold I was doing the work of 16 people! i don't want this to sound like walking to school uphill both ways in the snow, but is this not a little bit of sales force bloat?

See you stated the problem with the words when I started with Squibb in 1972.

I would agree- no reason to expand. We are too bloated.

I would add- the reps can learn to work it out- too many mangers is the prob. - just having to get different messages from each manager is the stupidest (sp) thing ive ever seen

Please don't tell me that people from outside the company really want to come and join this cluster Uck. I'm sorry, I mean the Alliance. This position is being created since the Endo's are pissed that they have 4 or more reps calling on them.
