Who should a pharma rep vote for in Nov?

To ask who to vote for in November is a question that should not be asked. It has to be Romney. Having Obama in the Whitehouse reminds me of the late 70's when Carter was president. Unemployment increased every year he was in the office, our national defense was a laughing stock to the other world powers and lets not forget the Iran situation. Does this sound familiar? When he was Candidate Obama he was promoting job creation, were has the job creation been? The job creation is in China, India, etc., we need less government regulations and taxes. Obama needs to be a one term president he has not done anything for this country other than allow jobs to go overseas and keep the unemployed on the unemployment line

The pharma industry requires someone to pay the bills. Goverment will be cutting their spending on anything but defense and the few items that have bribed their way into the budget. If you think that the pharmas are on the list, good for you. If they are not, who's the president won't matter. Pharma sales can represent the general distributed wealth of the country. - rather than total wealth. f the number of uninsured Americans goes up, they will be out of the pool of people consuming full-price medicines, which is the product that high pharma salaries are based on. Like it or not, it is laissez faire socialism - not laissez faire capitalism - that benefits the pharma industry and its employees. Most new jobs created by turning around the economy will be lower paying jobs and are not likely to be providing interesting benefits, including insurance until the unemployment rate drops below 5.5%.

If you are not in sales but are in R&D or Manufacturing, you need to decide who, if anyone, will attempt to keep such jobs in the US. The most likely is not the laissez faire group that feels that whatever capitalists desire is good for the country, whether jobs are retained or not. One way to think of this is to be careful to blindly align yourself to what your company's leaders suggest is the best place for your vote. They also would have all of the R&D and manufacturing jobs gone from the US.

Pharma is one of the key welfare industries, relying less on

Defense budget reductions have already begun. The next big entitlement has got to be medicare. There is no way around it. That means price controls for pharma. They've dodged it for as long as they can. Have you seen the price of your own drugs merck? $180 per month for Januvia? That works no better than an sfu and is only a bridge to insulin any way. Don't try and run a "pharma-economic outcomes" argument. That ship has sailed. Profits for pharma are plowed right back into marketing not r&d. Pharma is really on the wrong side of the argument when the discussion is healthcare. The country can no longer afford to procrastinate on budgets (1000 days and counting in the Senate) debt, entitlements, foreign aid, on and on. Who do you think will begin to make the hard choices that have to be made? I fear neither one of these guys has a clue.

Obama is done, look at the polls. Obviously like the last election 99 percent of blacks will vote for him. Even though they are the ones who really lost - they are far worse off with him in the office. The real racisim I think is there, 99 percent vote based on him being black and they admit it in interviews?

How can you even wonder? The Obama legacy...a lousy, horifically managed economy, the newly exploding deficit, our new "all for free" food stamp welfare nation, (brought to you by the shrinking middle class), the "real" unemployment picture including all those who are no longer eligible for UI...yes, it is closer to 20%-25%, the going nowhere job market, the cost prohibitive health insurance mess, the screwing of the little business owners, the softening of national defense, the jobs to China fast track, border non-control, the illegal immigration welcome wagon........please, the list can go on and on.

Romney...will free up the markets, stimulate business and job creation and turn this mess around...seriously.

You forgot to mention cozying up to our enemies and abandoning our best ally ISRAEL...

FU OBAMA...

We have an idiot in our district who supports Hussein Obama. She can't speak intelligently to any issue and actually thinks unemployment is down. Typical Obama voter.

Hmmm...let me guess..is this partner African-American? Do the both of you frequently talk about politics on the job? I thought that was a serious no-no to discuss religion, pay and politics on the job. Or, you guess must be really close. I for one have a district mate who is African-American and she is very conservative and has no problem sharing it!

Ding ding we have a winner! She was actually on food stamps at Merck for a year and not only got charged with fraud but had to pay it back! Oh yeah a real winner. Her "man" is on parole too. You can't make it up- never would have believed it.

I don't believe it! I've got to ask........ please give me the initials of this person. I'm dying to know what region too if you can. Tablet, vaccines hospital?

Don't think this is all racical. I've had discussions with some of my 100% white relatives...a few in particular are old line Democratics....and as you can expect, big believers in working in civil service and "strong" union jobs. They would never work for a corporation....and they think anyone who does is working in a sweat shop...They voted for Obama because they think he "cares about them"....huh? ....incidently, they may cast this vote again without any thought about the economy, spending, national debt, his lack of ability to understand job creation, his fiscal balance disaster or anything else of real importance. It's amazing to listen to them. Along with their distorded thinking comes a "gotta get my due" point of view....what perks, benefits, free $$ can I get from here or there......

What an experience when I see them. Just to keep the peace I generally keep my mouth shut.......but sometimes if I gently ask a few probing questions about it all I see a glimmer of the "Obama-glaze-over" lift....

Anyway, I'm relieved I have very few relatives who fit this description....thankfully most of the others tend to be very enterprising...and don't lean in this same political direction.... :)

I voted for obama, never again. He had his chance and is a gross failure. Probably the worst failed president. I would vote for a bum off the street before I would vote for him again. And I am black.

Vote for Obama is a vote for the ruin of America. He had his chance and now has made carter look like a hero in comparison. All he has done is ruin the economy and inflame racial tensions.

Romney needs to win....we need Obama out...but I fear that with the black and hispanic vote going to Obama, and diehard white liberal Democrats (i.e., east coast, west coast) still supporting him, along with voter fraud (the likes of Acorn), we will be stuck with Obama again...God help us if that happens.
