ICUs having the units full and no empty beds is nothing new. Hospital ERs going on diversion because their ICUs have no empty beds... this is nothing new. It has happened over and over every year for decades. Americans never hear about it or know about it, unless you work as a nurse or doctor or work in the hospital, because it wasn't a useful tool for media to use. COVID is not uniquely creating this "full ICU" situation, but it makes it easier for the media and the left to drive a narrative. Full ICUs happen a few times each year due to nursing staffing shortages and bad flu seasons. For those of us who have worked as nurses in the hospital, we know this as a fact. Maybe everyone wearing masks and washing their hands and social distancing will result in a lighter flu season.
