Failure of a launch? Are you stupid or a liar? They are selling Dupixent which is already selling nearly $5BB a year. Remember when that douchebag Pearson told us Xifaxan would be a $5BB product by 2017? Missed that by a mile 5 years later.

The people leaving to Sanofi and Regeneron are getting huge pay increases, better benefits, nicer cars and a more lucrative stock package. Just like the lucky ones who moved on to BMS last year. Look around you. The best and brightest are walking out the door. I’m out of here and couldn’t be happier.

It’s funny. Years ago, Salix was the GI company everyone in the space wanted to run to for better pay, benefits and stock. Now we are the company people run from for a better opportunity in the GI space. I wonder what changed.

No comparison. Intercept was a one trick pony. Very high risk. Intercept is not BMS, Regeneron or Sanofi. All three are major market cap companies with massive pipelines and history behind them. Again, Dupixent is already a five billion dollar drug. Very little risk jumping in there. And have you seen the stock chart for REGN? Trading over $620 a share with a $67BB market cap. BHC is trading under $23 a share with an $8BB market cap. Our stock is trading at the same level it was in the 90’s. Our pipeline is non-existent and we are about to be spun off so that Joe can save the eye care franchise and heap all that debt over to the other companies.

I’ll take the chance and jump on over to Regeneron/Sanofi.

Of course you jump , you’ve already sold yourself.
Intercept was supposed to be the sweetheart deal- a no brainer. You should do a little more research of Dupixent. Very little risk- I don’t think so. They have mirrored sales forces selling the same product. Co-promotes are notorious for ramping up during launch and then cutting BIGTIME suddenly. Say what you want about here - but we are safe here for 2-3 more years at least… I’m making close to what your salary increase is in the espp here alone- it’s free money now that I am vested. Good luck to you, hopefully you won’t be one of those that has left that ends up working for 3 different companies over the next 2 years like many.

Yeah because Salix has never had mirrored sales forces right? I mean we’ve never had more than one rep calling on the same GI with Xifaxan. Or Trulance. And the difference between the extra money you make in espp and what I will make with my raise is that I don’t have to put my own money up to get the match and then wait to vest before I get my money.

And she is the last time that Salix laid off anyone on any of the GI teams ? It’s because we have over a 1B$ drug- we are actually undersized for a drug that large. I don’t give crap if I had to contribute (save) money myself to get the espp match - it’s still “free” $$$ and I’ll take that vs going through training and all of the uncertainties that you are going to be dealing with -good luck to you, maybe this will be the one that sticks?
