Managing directors are given a goal and he passes down to reps. The reps were he wants to stay with company are giving a lower goal and the reps he wants gone have goals that can never be made but he will like to see you die trying. This is how the layoffs are manipulated. It's all about ROI(Return on Investment) That is how most reps are looked at. If you have a high salary then you can expect your goal to be high.

BRAVO!! Any of us who started our own business are doing better than the reps. If you were smart enough you will have this all lined up before you quit/were downsized and you can fly. The severance from Novartis can be a mad money account, the real $$$ come from running a viable company, owning all the capital, and gaining your soul back.
