When is the next restructure?

What if position is not exactly equivalent? Big territory, travel, etc ?

Wait a year and find out.
Or start looking for job...
You think NewCo will have high priced sales force for lower margin products?
It's the final cut. Probably core managers and the rest outsourcing at best, or digital marketing and sales channels.
After BCG is not there to save jobs but to save money. That 1.5B is coming out of your hide.

No inside knowledge hear and I swear, Merck is selling the Kenilworth property to NewCo and Rahway an Zürich is where everyone else goes based on division, role, etc.
I think its logical to conclude Merck will not keep both Rahway and Kenilworth. I thinks its also logical to conclude Merck will keep Rahway given they are currently building a new development flex center there. Another question, does Merck keep UG and WP or do they sell UG to NewCo?

Bravo, "newco" to be named "slothco". What a great way to rid the useless cc reps making 120k plus while having a month off in vacation.

With Slothco, all the legacy rights are out the window. Once the deal is packages, look for cc salary caps of 70. Still then, the ole hags will fight each other to sell outdated, shitty drugs. Slothco= where the passed over go to exit their phony pharma career.

New Sothco cards and name badges coming soon!

you jest with the name, Slothco, but there is a degree of truth to what you say...Merck will use this opportunity to offload poor performers, deadbeats and overpaid employees...for a short period of time the money will be the same, but once that contractual period of time is over, salaries will most certainly be cut.

I'm guessing that they will sell UG. They are really trying to cut costs and make things look good in preparation for the spinoff and ultimate sale of the spinoff. It's no mystery that headquarters will follow the path of the sales forces. Most companies sell after the spinoff.

What does this really mean for chronic care? There is only one rep left in each territory. They need us to promote what we have and what is coming. Plus, with the last layoff a few months ago, they knew this spinoff was coming. Why not just get rid of everyone then?

Do you not understand how contract sales forces work? There is no need to have full time employees when you can contract those services out to syneos or other companies. They do not need chronic care to promote primary care products. You are right though, they should have eliminated the division in the last round.

Left almost 10 years ago. Merck was a cesspool then full of incompetent managers, CTLs, and regionals. Total waste of a job at that time. The team bonus, customer trust and values scores as part of your compensation, and the annual rounds of headcount reductions. Made for a miserable tenure at this sh@thole. If you’re still working here you should have already started planning your next move...if you haven’t yet you better hurry. The writing has been on the wall for 10 plus years that pharam sales was a dead end job.
