What's new

Well that's not very nice to say. Sounds like you have anger issues to respond like that to a simple request. Makes me wonder what sort of hidden issues this person may have. Hmmmm

I knot that UHS has a new CEO now, but has there been much change at the DSD or Ops side? I know that there were too many folks at the corporate level when I was with UHS.

Looks like someone is still a bit cranky. With attitudes like that it is becoming clearer what the root cause of the problem is. I'm really just interested in how my former company is doing from the people who really know- the employees and customers. No hidden agenda or anything like that. Just actual concern and curiosity.

Board Member trying to figure out WTF is happening...

If you are a board member on this site attempting to gain an understanding of what is occurring at UHS, then you are indeed an idiot. At best, you will get the musings of disgruntled and passionate people that are trapped in a vortex of mediocrity. UHS is coasting on a reputation of what it used to be. It is no longer a champion of the employee. It has turned into an excessive gorge of "top heavy" personas with fragile egos. These people have disintegrated the fabric of what was once a good business model through poor decision making and low emotional quotients. I would suggest lining up your top leaders and have them articulate the business strategy at a territory level and then have random account executives describe the corporate strategy for growth. The answers from each group will be vastly different and alarming. This is how you find out what is going on Mr. Board Member. Not by asking for feedback on an anonymous board. If you really want to know, leave a pseudo email address and I will personally contact you for a relevant and "real" conversation.

Sorry to disappoint you and eliminate any paranoia, but I am not a board member. Actually I was an AE on the east coast. I left UHS but I have not been in contact with many of my former associates, both sales and operations. When I left had we had sole source contracts with every acute care facility in my territory. Sure some signed because of GPO obligations but the rest signed because of a good operations reputation and sales integrity (yes they both do exist)
I hate to hear that contracts have been lost and the company's business decisions have adversely damaged both company reputation and employee satisfaction. I left UHS, by choice, but I still wish all the employees the best.

UHS is not the company it used to be. The new management is only about themselves. They don't help and we have to continue to take whatever bs they are feeding us. If you voice an opinion or concern they look at you as a threat and then they will eliminate you. This is not a supportive environment....everyone is concerned about their jobs and do not care who is in the crossfire to keep it. Best advice keep your mouth shut and your head down and be a robot....

I hate to hear that. I always thought that the UHS employees were the company's best assets. The corporate folks must have just said that they valued input and suggestions. Seems they lost their focus about the PNR being the backbone of the industry. What a shame.

I know you think you are a masked pozer, but you are an ahole who knows they are an ahole.

It must really be difficult to be you. Maybe you have a persecution complex or are just ignorant. I feel sorry for you and your suspicious mind (an Elvis fan?). Not a poser but someone who is doing very well in life without being a poser. You had better put your foil hat back on your head and wait for the black helicopters to come get you. Sheesh such a paranoid person. Better luck with your life and enjoy being a mid-level worker ant in a dead end position with a company that apparently seems to be heading straight for the rocks. If you are an example of their new employees, I am glad I am no longer with UHS. Good luck sitting in your room, in the dark, waiting for the mothership to come get you.

That's funny right there.

You sure have changed your tune since asking "What's New" as a former employee.

I for one am glad your pansy ass left!

I see you are still in a hate-hate relationship with yourself. Is that the best retort you could come up with? My comments were aimed directly at the poster you, the person who replied with such anger and reverted to Neanderthal comments like "A-hole", not the UHS family members that I remember. Maybe you should check into seeing about how much anger management counseling the insurance will now cover. I believe that UHS HR used to have a hotline for various items such as anger, debt, suicide, etc. I think that someone (hello angry responder, are you listening) needs to call and seek help in resolving these deep issues (maybe they weren't held enough as a child and has low self-esteem) and can then be a productive team member and member of society.
Excluding our friendly neighborhood angry responder, I remember UHS as a good company that may have lost its way by attempting to break into revenue streams that thy were not ready or equipped to enter. When I left UHS, they were just beginning to look into the NPWT market without the proper support or clinical coverage. I enjoyed many summits that served to motivate and educate the employees while rewarding us with awards and acknowledgements.

I wish UHS and the team members success and once again kicking Hill-Rom's butt in MME PNR.
