This should be a last resort situation. This company is the most insincere company you will ever work for.

No loyalty. Nothing. No heart. Biggest liars out there. Now, this is the case with most pharmaceutical companies, but Pub. gets the cake in my eyes.

This is a warning for those that want the truth, and the truth hurts, but the truth must be told.

I would agree with you 100%. I worked a Publicis a few years back and what a total cluster f...k it was, Quintiles is much better CSO. Contract should always be a last resort but this company is the worst in the industry, by far.

I don't agree. They took me back after I rolled over into company, got downsized 4 years later, not only giving me job but grandfathered 401k benefits from last contract. They do take care of their good people! The real truth here is that maybe you weren't a good employee.Look in the mirror, but I know of many reps that have been treated professionally by this company.

This dump is a joke. I was on a contract that lasted less than a year (they said it was for 3 years). From the beginning, dealing with the rude, condescending and stupid recruiters to the management to the home office. If you call home office they virtually never return your call so you have to keep calling back and then they make no secret of how much they hate the sales force. I know the home office is located near Philadelphia and people from there are the most obnoxious in the USA but what a nightmare. Worst run organization I have ever seen.

OK. You must be part of the clique of good 'ol bo-ays. I've watched them freeze out and isolate performers. Why is this? It makes no sense!

ALL APPLICANTS:

As with any company, your experience will mostly be determined by you. There are some employees who are just not happy. No shortage of examples to validate this. Just click on any company board on this website. Negative comments by unhappy employees or bored trolls don't necessarily indicate major problems. Plenty of happy employees don't spend a lot of time posting to this site. We have better things to do.

Lots of employees have been with this company for a long time. Many employees who performed well during their employment and for whatever reason left the company have been welcomed back. This happens quite a bit. It is a big advantage in a volatile industry to build a good track record here.

Not every situation is perfect for everyone. That seems to have been the case for OP. Unfortunately, since the OP is anonymous, there is no way of knowing what happened. My experience with this company has been very good, and I know many who feel the same way.

Good luck with your interview!

Definitely a joke of a company. I won't go into details, but I was lied to numerous times and that is enough. If you apply here, you are wasting your time.
Sure, if you get the job, you have a bad job with no future. Save your time for better situations. Better situations are out there, trust me.

Defitnitely someone from HR trying to pose as a sales rep or manager. Their job is probably better than a sales reps, but too many people with great selling history and reputations have left with utter shock and dismay to what they have just experienced. I have nothing to benefit from by warning others. I'm not being paid to post. It takes just seconds to do so as I wait in a physicians office. I care enough about others to warn them. I would want someone to do the same for me. I think this poster is either in denial and doesn't want to face the truth, brainwashed, or protecting the company because they're getting some stipend or payment to defend them. There's definitely something in it for them.

Do go into the details. They may make your claim more credible. Of course, by not doing so, you are wasting our time. Trust me.

So far, my experience has been pretty good in the diabetes contract. Sure, they don't pay much, but I knew that before I took the job. But regarding the actual working experience, I can't really complain. Very little micro-management, no company voice mail, minimal business planning(the client company reps are mainly responsible for that, as well as administrating speaker programs), DM is pretty cool about everything. I just want to make my calls and let the chips fall where they may, kind of like it was back in the day. If your sales are there, then all is good. If the territory is sucking, then deal with the problem and get rid of me if you feel I am the problem. Besides, the contract will be over anyway before too long.

My DM often has an obvious erection when he works with me. He also makes sexually explicit comments to me during ride alongs but he never says anything like that when others are around.

It wasn't written by HR it was posted by the recruiter TS in Atlanta. She lives on this site.

So if you do good job(top 15%) do you get rolled over to something else when contract ends? Can anyone share how many years/contracts you have been with this co?

No one at PSS cares if you do a great job or were the worst rep on the contract. When your contract is over you are on the street and have to compete like everyone else for one of these temp shit jobs. This place is a cesspool.

Every contract is different. Some would not roll you over if you were number one. Others will only roll maybe 2-3 over yearly only if the company surpasses their goal and those individuals were the top reps. Other times someone will get rolled over because the client likes the rep and you look at their performance record and say WTF!?!
Great performance does not mean you'll be rolled over, but PSS will not want you to ever know this.

Total good ole boys clique here. Specifically an OLD (as in ancient) Wyeth group that ruins it for everyone else. They know who they are and they're getting sued. It's going to stick.

Why are they such gossiping women? They even throw each other in front of a bus. They spread a rumor that an old partner of mine was fired to keep them from being hired on a contract and it's a total lie. Everyone believes them because they're old and incompetent ??

There is something called the Peter Principle. People are promoted to their level of incompetence.

Nothing in it for me, just fair balance. Many of us have found working here to be rewarding and many have been able to continue their careers by doing a good job in their current assignment. Many people work very hard to make sure the opportunity you have now continues to be available to you and others. In my opinion, this is an extremely well run organization that takes great care to treat individuals with dignity. I have seen many, many examples of this.

You are obviously distressed. It happens. I wish I could listen to you to fully understand your particular situation. My advice, as always, is to talk to your manager in a constructive way. Be specific about your challenges and propose solutions if you can. That's the best way to make things better if there is a problem. Sometimes there is no solution for a particular situation, in which case it may be best to find a better fit. Again, having constructive discussions about those things is better by far than just being miserable. If you have valid irreconcilable differences it will be easier to explain to future potential employers what you did to try and solve the problem before you decided to go elsewhere.
