Viehbacher...Really?

I imagine Chris will draw to salaries, one for himself and one for his overblown ego. He did wonders at Sanofi, great choice by Biogen board, can't go anywhere but up from here.

You've got to he kidding me. Viehbacher is a franchise killer. His nickname in Bridgewater when he was with Sanofi was "the silent smiling killer". He had a habit of wandering the building looking and intimidating employees with his creepy smile only to let people go he casually would awkwardly talked with. He completely destroyed the diabetes and cardiology franchise and overpaid in a hostile takeover of Gensyme. He rode out the cash cow patents of Plavix, Lovenox, and Lantus. Despite pressure from the board he had to backup plan. He was asleep at the wheel with the plavix patent infringement with Apotex along with his shady negotiations he made with rebates with payers without the boards approval which ended up costing him his job. The company never recovered to this day on how Viehbacher steered the ship right into the icebergs. Sorry for what's about to happen to your company. Take this to the bank...He's a layoff machine and cold and heartless to the core. I'll pray for you. This guy is a living and walking cancer for a company.

Boston Pharmaceuticals is his "brain child" via his VC, Gurnett Point Capital, who is/was one of the primary backers for the formation of the company back in 2015. The only accomplishment to date...they have burned through a great deal of money. Viebacher is a re-tread with absolutely nothing to distinguish him and it's hard to believe Biogen couldn't do better.

The industry is built on regurgitating these corporate tools like Viehbacher. This guy could fuckup a cup of coffee. He is all about cutting costs via the reps. He drove Sanofi right off the patent cliff and smiled the whole way. You think they would see he's been out to pasture since 2015 when he was fired at Sanofi. Even a company as incompetent as Sanofi fires you then you know you scrapped the bottom of the barrel getting this retread.

Pretty consistent move for Biogen. Just one more big pharma sack of shit to help degrade the culture even further.

Your BOD just threw the whole company under the bus.

Viebacher will pit leaders against each other during restructuring, do a bunch of BS “transformative” deals that never deliver a thing and walk with millions when it’s over in five years.

you guys are screwed.
