The layoff announcement came right after 2021 results were announced and NVS posted just 4% growth over PY. Vas is in the doghouse - cutting costs and FTE. You can thank him for the situation we're in. Also - going outside for an analyst to lead Global Strategy is another hail mary... The Board wants change and a growth trajectory. Fed up with bad launches and lame US performance so now direct line and oversight. Victor is over his head too. Sad to see NVS in this situation.

Totally agree. And a number of bad bets taken. Think yes, he's probably unofficially already out. Shame that Oncology merger had to be done to improve the cosmetics of the bottom line. Too many very good people being displaced.

The lame US performance is dragging this company down. Europe continues to do well.

It’s been almost 3 months since we last heard from Vas. When will his departure be made official?

By now it’s pretty clear that we can expect a new CEO. Another reorganization is on the horizon.

His contract is up in Feb 2023. He is gone. Thats why he's MIA. Too busy lining up his next position than steer this thing.
