Very simple, everyone must get vaccinated. As Americans we want freedom. That freedom also comes with accountability. You need to protect yourself and others. The government needs to keep everyone safe. Soon it will be fully enforced because people are too stupid to think for themselves. I can understand people being confused. We had a leader who was a entertainer and went bankrupt 4 times. He mismanaged covid and many people suffered for no reason. While knows, maybe you will not be able to get health insurance, secondary listed in hospitals or get taxed more because you are a drain to the system. The last thing we need Is a welfare state because of the stupidity of unvaccinated people.

Idiot. I'm a lifelong Republcan. Hate to break the news to you but you have politicized what is a public health issue and vaccination. We all were vaccinated for measles, mumps, polio, etc to attend public schools and participate in society years ago. Acting as if vaccination violates our freedoms and is new or anti - Republican is embarassing and frankly to conservatives like me (not alt right whack jobs), insulting.

Anti vaxxers before all this nonsense were disproportionately crunchy tree hugging libs. The alt right fringe now buys into any conspiracy theory and is trying to drag all of into their medieval circle jerk. No thanks.

How many on the Human side of Merck are being let go? On the Animal Health side I would estimate at least 60 people.

On the Animal Health side all customer facing employees exemption applications were denied regardless of merit.

If the same is true on the Human side we need to stick together and fight it.
 












Merck is so woke with diversity and inclusion, yet they're doubling down on douchebaggery with religious exemptions? File a complaint with EEOC, appeal and contact a lawyer. Make them fire you. Also tell them you'll get Conmarity. It's the only one approved and Pfizer isn't making it. This is all so shady.
 






So much for the woke diversity initiatives, what a big FU to religion. Appeal, file complaint with EEOC. Don't quit, let them fire you and then sue. Merck just doubled down on being the biggest pricks in pharma.

So what you are saying is that Merck is letting you claim a religious exemption but yet they are not granting one??!! Isn’t that an EEOC violation? Or does Merck only protect LGBTQ people?
 






The only reason that Merck and every other pharmaceutical company is mandating the COVID shots is that the government is their biggest payer. If they don’t play with the big boy they don’t get to have their drugs on government formularies. Pay to play all the way!
 






There are 50-100 people on the Research side that are in ganger of being terminated, the biggest problem by far is on the manufacturing side of the business where the number of unvaccinated is much larger. As we speak they are trying to figure out how not to terminate unvaccinated hundreds at manufacturing sites, in typical Merck fashion they never thought ahead as to how the tax mandate might effect operations. Its inevitable that Merck will be sued over this as there was no planning, making it up as they go along.
 






So there is about 20 people in animal health who stood up to Merck and did not get vaccinated last Friday.

We have a text group going to support each other through this crap.

Figure the human side being 10 times the the size of animal health could have many more people that choose not to get the jab.

They will get sued over this, not the mandate itself but the inconsistency in which they have/will rule on exemptions. They also backed themselves into a corner with manufacturing sites, in typical Merck fashion they set the mandate without considering the repercussions to the supply chain. Significant number of people at manufacturing sites not vaccinated, no way they can terminate all without impacting product supply, they will get creative and let them stay...
