This should help any future prospective field sales candidates in their consideration of Taro as a possible employer. Four days before Christmas, we got a message that we would not be getting our bonus as promised (repeatedly) before Christmas - in fact, it would be delayed until well after all of your bills are due. Also, we would not be getting anything even close to what we were told we earned, because upper management decided that it was too much to pay reps, so they reduced the amount of payout for a previous quarter's bonus, readjusted the total on an already paid bonus, and subtracted the difference from the current (delayed until after christmas) bonus. In short, you are not getting your bonus in time to pay he bills you ran up (you did this because it is Christmas and you expected to get many thousands of dollars in a couple of days), and it will be reduced by over 50% - in some cases this decrease comes close to $20,000.
There was no apology, no explanation and most importantly - this is the take home message, so listen carefully - there was no acknowledgement of the existance of the Christmas holiday from anyone at Taro to any Taro employee. Thats right - no voicemail, no email, no christmas card.......silence. There were a few messages during our company-given holiday time that demanded work from us during our time off, but no well-wishing initiatives.
We are now (1 week after the Christmas raping) on our way to corporate for 2 days, wuring which time management plans to run us over the barrel for lagging sales in December. Think carefully about all you have read - this is Taro.
