Maybe they are going to throw in some real surprises all at once. Realign other sales orgs at the same time they eliminate CC? Its possible. There have been absolutely zero changes made thus far to the sales org of this brand new company. There will be other reductions in sales and sales mgmt. that is a definite. They may be waiting to do a lot of it all consecutively.

Hmmm. Very good possibility. They sure as hell are not going to leave the current sales structure unscathed with all the redundancy and wastefulness. All the other Pharma cos have been reducing reps for last several years. Think you meant to say concurrently not consecutively.

You apparently forgot about 2010 and 2011 when Pfizer took out 3K-6K at a time. All in all, they hacked 20K employees over 2 years.

CC is gone we know that so that is about 1200 including contract. Metabolics is in deep trouble with Andro tanking so there most likely will be some reductions there as well. Im thinking about 1800 total or so will be gone next 3-6 weeks.

Thinking higher, much higher. If the new company is to be truly "lean and mean", the opportunity to do a major reorg presents itself under cover of the CC release. Abbvie can proclaim it all necessary as part of its plans to be a biopharmaceutical company. Those remaining just need to hope and pray the Humira high lasts as long as possible.

The ~1200 from CC at least. More if they decide to be really bold and realign other teams as well. That might be one reason why they've been so reluctant to divulge the timing of the "Night of the Long Knives".
