UCB’s Toxic Culture

Is the culture really that bad at UCB? I'm considering a job offer (in research) but this makes me wonder. Is the toxic culture a US commercial thing, or is it more widespread? Any examples in research?

Only the moron rep culture is bad. They’re a group of fourth tier and regionally ranked university graduates that know how to do everyone’s job well but not their own.

It’s terrible, if you want to be micromanaged down to the clicks on your iPad this is the place for you! Not to mention Cimzia goes generic in a year. Good luck

The fact no one Senior in Brussels got sacked after fda speaks volumes of the culture.

Since vimpat everything released by ucb is a dog or too late to market. Those established brands would have stabilised the company. Instead they went for a high risk focus strategy which inevitably fails or is bought up by other companies.

The tolerance to failure in hq culture means those on the road or front line get screwed by belgium and Atlanta.
