• Thurs news: Lilly’s weight-loss drug prevents diabetes. Merck pays $588M for bispecific. Amgen speaks out about bone density issues with obesity drug. PTC gets gene therapy approval. JNJ’s 340B legal fight. See more on our front page
Lets see? Who is the right Tildra patient--

1. Person who has psoriasis and has not responded to any topical or biologic agent?
2. Person who wants to pay for specificity that has no proven benefits?
3. A person who does not want to go on a biologic because SUN cannot deliver the medication through the HUB for several months
4. Person being treated by dermatologists who do not know what they are doing?
5. Person who wants to pay full retail price because their coverage will not be in place for a year?
6. Relative or close friend to one of our TMs?

I'd say 4 and 6 define the best niche for Tildra.

That should be about 200-300 patients in total over the first year.

Cannot be employees. Better check, the SUN drug plan probably does not cover Ilumya. Too expensive.

Congrats to the strategists for Ilumya. The only viable niche for the drug wasn’t pursued by our “super intellectuals” and now we have two competitors stepping into an area that SUN tried it’s best to step out from. Stupidity rules the day at SUN in management. Pick the level, it really doesn’t matter. Watching the last 30 days of this nonsense was like getting a pass to see the worlds largest shit show on ice. So what did SUN benefit from by going cheap at the managerial level? They effectively buried a drug that had a $2b a year niche in the United States alone. So you see that at the head of our problems is the Indian ownership that is too cheap to hire the quality individuals needed to have had headed this in order to pull it off.

You are spot on !

Indian arrogance at its best: ‘we know how to do this better than you stupid, lazy Americans’.

Yeah, so how’s that working out for ya Abhay ?

Let me tell you this, I came to Sun because I know how to pick winners. To prove it I pick the Rams to win the Super Bowl. Just watch.

Picking the Rams is something fitting for Sun. The company doesn’t know how to pick winners and never will. The company is on life support. Senior leadership needs to be replaced with individuals who have the experience to run a branded business. I give the company until July.

Changes starting by the end of March.

No TDs and all punts. All promise and no delivery. That is the SUN Pharma way!

A working interview. That is what the NSM will be this year. Look for fewer bodies as lay-offs will be in March. The explanation and Rah Rah about “right sizing” starts day one. Those left will be looked at to see who goes next. Most teams will be half their present size by the end of September. The new biologic team may be gone completely by year end. It sucks to be Sunburnt.
