When are they going to let us know who is getting displaced??
When are they going to let us know who is getting displaced??
Grow up and try to act professional
Professionals don't post here.
DMs keep saying we should know something "by the end of the week". I predict we will get the call when the AZ reps do. June 30 and they will expect us to work right up until the end of July. Similar to what happened to the CSAs. Good luck to all.
What state?
Really? All of us? No one is safe...welcome to pharma
What state?
Then why are you posting?
Fixed it for you. Good point. Nothing is worse than the politics of layoffs. Nothing. I will say this, though. You have highly transferrable skills. They mean a lot. Don't let things happen to you. Make things happen for you. Pharma is a game of musical chairs. Fine to play that game out, but we all know the end result.
"You have highly transferable skills". LOL Someone has been hitting some serious mood altering drugs. Pharma reps have ZERO transferable skills because they do nothing but cater lunches to office cows, tap on an iPad screen and read a canned message like a bimbo spokes model, and fake the rest of the calls. The entire rest of the business world knows pharma "sales" is a clown show staff by dummys and lazy sloths and when you sober up some day you may realize that too.
I think the truth is most people in pharma are fairly sharp people.
However, what we do on a daily basis certainly does not promote growth as a business professional. No doubt.
But, the paychecks and benefits are tough to walk away from.
This situation is fairly unstable. There are reps that do a good job, their contract ends, and sometimes have to wait six months to a year to get called back. A contract has to be available in that reps area. Many times when there's not one, a huge gap of unemployment is now on the resume. No one will understand this except for the contract company that lied to you and made false promises and has nothing available.
Agree, jobs are there and no one calls. People have bills to pay. Mortgages, taxes, insurances, mouths to feed. Unemployment is not a fraction of what people need to live and that ends at six months. Crappy jobs.
What about managers? They have great skills. If there were no managers, reps would not be able to handle their jobs. I see these districts without a manager, and the reps walk around clueless. They have no idea what they should be doing. I'm glad to be here to help.
