Thoughts on Mgnmt. Meeting in Vegas





Well, guess it's about time for that airhead that keeps coming on here & denying that there will not be any restructuring or downsizing of any type at any time because they don't "feel" like it should happen. Even with the underlying tone coming out of the managers meeting they will still come up with all his or her own reasons why there shouldn't be any restructuring, but unfortunately corporate does not look to this person for advice before they decide on a future restructuring or cutbacks. Just hang on & we'll all see what happens in the not too distant future.

Apparently the airhead is back & is so computer illiterate that they don't even know how to post a reply just one time, have to post same message twice with exact same wording. Must have education level of at least a 5th grader!
 








At the managers meeting we were instructed very carefully on what the orginzation is looking for. Evaluations certain amount of fully meets etc... As far as field coaching logs they are looking for uniform information and we are to hammer and tighten our belts. They did not say put people on action plans but they said if x,y,z are not met than guess what it's an action plan.

There will be some type of restructure! Most of the managers were not happy with how the meeting went. Then you have the group that drinks the Kool Aid.

Watch out folks there were more of those than those of us that care about our reps.

I am looking and tell my reps they should always entertain all job opportunities. Saying this because I don't want to come out and say look for a job hopefully they can read between the lines.

It was clear at the meeting that they want us to put the screws to the reps and there will be plans flying by next quarter. They know alo will not do what they are forecasting but it buys us another 6 months or so but once launched the trend line will determine the timing of layoffs. Get as many on plans and force them to leave and then there are less severances to pay when the chopping begins.

Sad. so very sad but true that this has become the management model for reducing headcount. We have lost some good people from this model, and retained some dead weight
 




stop the silliness. We met in vegas to discuss what is being rolled out at the POA's over the next few weeks. Pre call planning Customer belief systems. That was it. Quick meeting, said goodbye to Powers, heard brand updates and split. Enough of the conspiracy bs

This co is still heavy with dead weight. So much wasted spending. There is simply no excuse for reps with 6,7,8 + years in territory who can't use relationships to sell product. Actually, provide an excuse, I'd really like to hear it for cheap entertainment purposes.

Relationships can get you only so far,but most importantly you have to have a good product.Let's be honest,we don't!The smoke and mirrors about our me-too products like Dexi where we blow smoke up a doc's but about our "unique" dual release system is laughable and degrading.Speaking of relationships,what about the docs' relationship with his patients to write the best and least expensive drug.None of our present drugs even come close.Get real!

Witnessing a once great company like Takeda,sinking into oblivion,is always good for some cheap entertainment.If it wasn't so sad,it would be funny.

It is very clear to me that the DM's and RM's have been given clear direction to start a paper trail on anyone they have an opportunity to do so with and to get them on plans asap to avoid having to pay severance packages once the layoffs begin. This Customer Belief System crap is just another shiny new toy for management to justify their jobs and will be out the door when the novelty wears off. Word to the wise....watch your backs. Your DM that is all friendly and who you think likes you, will stab you in the back if they think it's in their best interest. I'm documenting each and every conversation and keeping a file on my DM. My lawyer thinks its a great idea! Hope this helps.

spot on post here, i unfortunately learned the hard way. document and keep a log of everything between you and your manager, believe me they are doing the same on you even if you think you are their friend.

I agree with the new Takeda motto,but let's also add to saying "don't trust anyone at Takeda because integrity is no longer valued"!
