Thoughts on Mgnmt. Meeting in Vegas

Let's see, I'm paid almost 200k a year in base and comp to be dragged out to Vegas...again and sit through ANOTHER hours long pre-call planning workshop. The only thing I missed was the planning meeting prior to this where everyone slapped each other on the back about what a great idea this is for our development.

No one has any backbone. Love the innovation here.

Morale was horrible. Everyone was quiet and concerned about Powers leaving, wondering when the next shoe is going to drop.

Was funny to watch AZ strut around the meeting with his assistant vp at his heels. Thank goodness we don't have to deal with him anymore.

He is truly a douche. Harvard degree or not.

Questions: Hey, how can you tell if someone has a degree from Harvard?
Answer: They will tell you over and over and over and over and over........

I'm not comfortable with what they are asking us to do with field coaching reports. I will not go on a witch hunt just to satisfy RSD expectations that so many reps are on a plan. These "gotcha" moments they want us to look for does not build team morale or sales.

NO ONE plays "gotcha" better than KMAT.She loves to see her reps sweat and fear her power, and mark my word, she will fill her quota. The only question is how soon she will do it.

Can you expand on this please. I have talked to many reps that feel as though their ride day experience does not match up with their field coaching report. Many feel as though their manager puts negative stuff in coaching logs as a requirement. Are you saying that this is what the RSD's and ASD's expect of managers? Why? What good do they think will come out of this?

At the managers meeting we were instructed very carefully on what the orginzation is looking for. Evaluations certain amount of fully meets etc... As far as field coaching logs they are looking for uniform information and we are to hammer and tighten our belts. They did not say put people on action plans but they said if x,y,z are not met than guess what it's an action plan.

There will be some type of restructure! Most of the managers were not happy with how the meeting went. Then you have the group that drinks the Kool Aid.

Watch out folks there were more of those than those of us that care about our reps.

I am looking and tell my reps they should always entertain all job opportunities. Saying this because I don't want to come out and say look for a job hopefully they can read between the lines.
