It's not that hard to identify the same poster when they post day after day, like you. There are about 5-6 active posters on these boards out of 15,000 employees. Humming?? Get real.

If there was some useful information then maybe more people would join in.

If you read the title of this thread it states that this board is useless, not democratic or undemocratic.

The reason? Certain posters with low self esteem and grudges use these boards to vent and spew garbage. You in particular try to impress everyone with how smart you are, (I doubt you even graduated high school) another just trash talks and another is obsessed with Florida.
People are staying away from CafePharma because of it.

All FL KAE's and SME's are getting screwed with these so - called "adjustments"

It's all BS, put in place by BN. It's just a way that they don't have to pay commissions. They screwed up with the UHC contract so bad that they are scrambling. So how do they make it up?????

By screwing people out of their commissions with these so- called adjustments. Think about it....did this happen two years ago? NO !!!!

Its been put into place to keep from paying the sales people. We better ban together and demand an investigation - they are kkep ing two sets of numbers. This is one of the biggest reasons MB and JS were let go - because they questioned what was going on and demanded answers. We better stand up and take a stance.

Even MD in S FL can't figure out what's going on...and TN in Orlando - well, he's a complete idiot anyway and that's the only reason he is where he is. AR - she is clueless, too. They all just do what they are told and they are instructed to keep their mouths shut.

We're getting screwed.

Again, going back to my original contention … How the hell do you know? You can state people have low self esteem, but saying it doesn’t make it so. Grudges? Duh. These boards pretty much a forum to complain about numerous situations regarding (barely arguably) one of the worst company cultures on the planet.

Attention, Billing, AR and Customer Service: Have you noticed some corporates, consultants and other identified indiviuals in your areas lately???
They claim they are there to streamline operations and make sure that each division is following the same procedures.
That is true but what they don't tell you is why. The reality is that Labcorp is in the process of contracting with an outside company to outsource these areas. Looks like either India or Pakistan. (Note: Quest is also looking at the same options for their company) So each division needs to be on the same page in order to make it easier to absorb these areas.
Without a doubt the savings will be very significant and help the bottom line.

Would it really matter November 26th? Day after Thanksgiving? Half the work force is out on vacation and nothing is going on anyway... so what difference would it make?
 






One of the techs was called into HR. Problem? The Cross she was wearing upset someone. The result? She can wear it but it cannot be visable. Next time expect a written warning, after that suspension.

As a card carrying Atheist, I believe she and anyone else should be able to wear anything that expresses their religion. Why would someone's religious beliefs interfere with one's work? This person was obviously previously deemed qualified for the position.

There might be more to the story. If she is a tech, I believe its a policy NOT to have anything dangling from the body - especially if she is working with biohazardous materials.
 






I had a doc tell me the other day that a Quest-sponsored speaker (someone by the name of Fromer, I think?) was trashing LabCorp’s allergy testing, saying “RAST is the past” and calling ImmunoCAP a “new and advanced test.” Does anybody know this guy, and what his deal is? Anyone else seeing this activity?

I actually did some research on-line, and found out that the Immunocap test was introduced about 17 years ago, according to the Phadia’s website. I also understand that they basically dressed up the test and repackaged it for primary care use. If our TurboMP test was launched several years ago, how can Quest claim they have a “new” test? Looks like Quest has been lying through their teeth. This kind of sleaze hurts everybody.

The market-leading RAST methodology was invented and marketed in 1974 by Pharmacia Diagnostics AB, Uppsala, Sweden, and the acronym RAST is actually a brand name.
