They know that...?

They have to know that with this horrid pay and no benefits, that the turnover will happen all the time as soon as people receive a better opportunity. There are probably a couple people here who just want flex and have benefits thru another source, but they are the minority.

This is a part time position people. With no benefits
. You knew that when you were hired. Grow up, shut up, and quit embarrassing yourself and the rest of us

I too was told no manager ride alongs and this was a drop samples type of thing. Having said that, I love to sell and will do it within the allotted amount of time. But to properly sell and make a total office call to rise market share is questionable from a time mgmt point of view. Plus, if you want hard selling better offer more $$$.

I have worked in a flex time position where the salary and allowances were comparable to this position but we had a true incentive program and opportunity to make $ 2 - 3K in bonus per quarter with realistic goals.

Kick it up On Call. Or at least offer some sort of one year kicker bonus for those who make it to that mark and have decent market share and call freq/reach. And I mean like a few thousand $$$.

I post this now knowing management reads this forum.

Well, for now, I am going to give OnCall the benefit of the doubt, and assume that Pfizer recently came in and changed up the terms of this deal. But if they can increase the job requirements, then they can pony up some more with the salary as well.

At first, it appeared this was pretty much based on paying $20 per call for a given number of calls. Now, it appears we will be required to demonstrate "corporate behaviors", much like direct employees of pharma companies, but receive none of the benefits. "Field coaching" on six areas of competencies including Message Delivery, Relationship Building, Goal Attainment, Handling Objections, and Total Office call would seem to go beyond expectations for most flex time positions, does it not?

The expectations for this assignment just don't match the low pay and lack of benefits, plain and simple. So, when reps continue to peel off for other better paying opportunities, they, I assume, will go thru the trouble of "retraining" brand new reps? They obviously could care less about retention, so I will care less about this gig until something more worthwhile comes along.

Their lack of real commitment or caring about what reps they hire or retain was pretty apparent when they offered us jobs without even interviewing us or meeting us one time. Bizarre. Clearly they will not be too broken up when we quit as they spent no time whatsoever in deciding to hire us.

Then why did you take the job? If you are in such high demand why didn't you accept another offer? Give this job to someone that wants it and then you can be happy.

I took the job because it's better than nothing, and will quit this job as soon as something better comes along. Then "someone" currently unemployed can have this cruddy job, and the cycle starts over. What is so hard to understand about that?

I would agree that Pfizer probably changed their expectations. Honestly, I feel for the managers who are probably not getting paid what normal pharma managers do. They have alot of reps and to ride with each once a month.....good luck. I feel like they may have been blind-sided.

Hopefully, we will perform and then some monetary changes will be considered. Or there will be a mass exodus and they will need to re-evaluate the $$.

I am a VERY seasoned and successful GYN rep who will only work flex time to accomodate my family needs. But seriously - for what they are asking - I am a bargain if I am to do this much pre-call and post-call planning. Total Office call and sell against Warner Chilcott who has endless pockets to buy their business. UGGGHHH.

All that said, this product is well known and those that write it love it and will write it. But pay us - what did they say - Premarin is a $700 million franchise. HMMMMM. Let's do the math. And not take advantage of us little flex time reps.

I'm fine with the pay, but don't expect all the bullshit that I'm hearing. I'm doing the job the way I've always done, this is a second job at this point in my life, a bit of a safety net to build the savings back up from this shitty economy, but if you fuck with me you can have it. Managers you had better not be asking for extra bullshit, and as far as precall planning, that is the job of who put these lists together. What's next? Pharmacy calls for no extra pay also?

I like the products and can do the job, but let me do it and if I'm doing it well then don't bother me!

If you are not happy leave, it's very simple. If they had interviewed in person, half of you would not have been hired so be glad you have a job.

Fuck you asshole, if you were told you were making a certain amount like we were and then they suddenly cut that by 20% would you not be pissed? Dumbasses like you make my dick itch. You can't tell a person they are paid a MONTHLY bonus and then change it to quarterly when you wrote monthly in the offer letter. And you can't change what it is based upon as soon as training is over. It's supposed to be for attaining 96% of the calls and not this bullshit call quality crap. So that's how they get in your car each month if you want this 30% call quality bonus. I can tell I'm out of here in less than a month. STILL INTERVIEWING, just want OnCall to know you just took my focus off the product and the client so that I can continue looking for a job. Way to go!

Nice mouth and attitude, I hope you do go elsewhere.
