The Ides of October are coming!

Its so sad to see all the conflict between the different divisions. The big picture here is the very poor performance coming out of Northbrook. Sales leadership is failing at a historical level. We have our top performers being fired due to compliance. We have successful sales leaders quitting. Current Northbrook sales executives & sales operations are unable to set proper goals with mistakes being made on a quarterly occurrence. Compliance has taken over and created an environment of fear. Astellas holds 50% of a billion dollar cancer product that doesn't hit goal. We are losing headcount everyday due to attrition. We have a hospital division being left for dead. Their are zero to limited promotional opportunities. Our raises have been averaging 2% for the past several years. The one way Northbrook leadership has decided to save money is through the pockets of their own employees by cutting benefits. With all this being reflective of the very truth of what is going on, we as a salesforce will still be scrutinized for our very own performance by one of the worst employee review processes in corporate America at the end of the year.

I pray that Japan intervenes and takes over all leadership roles in Northbrook. We use to have a vision.

Someone needs to stop this insanity.

Compliance is out of control.
You have some people losing their jobs due to egregious compliance violations and you have some people that unknowingly broke guidance on something that had never been clearly communicated.

You have PCP and Specialty nicking over revenue credit on a drug that will shortly be gemeric but has lonf been deeply discounted with huge huge huge rebates on the backend.

Xtandi is a solid drug. But Astellas needs more than 1 trick in their bag...scrap that..make that half a trick...since Pfizer owns the other half.

And yep...Hospital division has been left for all but dead...cut off at the knees. Morose...oversight on the talent in that division. Oncology should have come in and scooped those folks up...

An average oncology rep hasn't seen 1 medical oncologist in the past week...they go see the oncology nurses and that's that.
Trust me....i know.

And health systems..dont make me laugh. No..they are all alright..but those hospital reps could run circles around those folks as well.

What a sad state of affairs!

And let's not forget special mention to our fantastic IC team in Urology for their stellar work I screwing up our numbers quarter over quarter............... and thanks so much for pushing through those Q3 goals which mind you are a national average increase over Q2 by 10% growth. Yeah that's super achievable when in fact we have no clue how our performance was for Q2 as we have not received those,promised last week,Q2 adjusted goals. Thanks so much Astellas IC.

Let's also address the elephant in the room these unrealistic goaling structure. How can we increase by 10% when the majority of those people in Q2 fininshed at 90-97%. Thats super motivating. Seems like we are making goals unrealistic so we can save Astellas money. Aka Project Apex.

This is not motivating nor inspiring. Unfortunately for me, I love it hear and I don't want to leave but you seem to be dong an excellent job chasing me, one of the good people, out leaving those mediocre ones to run the ship. Apex #fail
 


















HO?- Haven't heard a thing about HO employees being fired but I will say with the amount of sales positions being eliminated/ people leaving and areas getting smaller, the need for sales support is less necessary than before. So, I understand that HO should be worried, we have less people to support so therefore may need less support positions.
As far as compliance, they are using compliance as a forum to eliminate positions without having to put people on plans.
