Sorry, I have to interject here. Normally I would keep quiet but I can't on this one.
Mr. Trump is NOT against abortion. Mr. Trump is pandering to his base. He is as immoral as immoral can be. He has ripped off contractors, cheated on every spouse - bragged about it on Howard Stern, and even did it with a potentially diseased porn star right after the birth of his youngest child. He has been caught in a myriad of lies, and has no religious or charitable bone in his body. How the heck can't you see this? Or do you and just excuse it because you share the same political party? People like you and the enablers in Congress are what moved me to leave the GOP and go independent. Because I DO have morality.

And how did you develop the marvelous skill of mind reading. You LNOW Trump isn’t against abortion? You know no such thing. You simply BELIEVE he isn’t.

And your belief is irrational as all his ACTIONS indicate that he is. Trump is pandering to his base? Hmmm, so you believe a politician acting upon what he told his base he would do if elected is pandering? No it’s the way politics and our system is supposed to work. And again you’re not a mind reader you simply CHOOSE to believe he’s insincere and pandering but neither of us knows what’s in his heart but you ignore his actions which as they say speak far louder than words.

As I indicated in the creation of this thread, Trump is actually DOING things that his base support in terms of being pro-life. Ending federal funding of aborted fetus stem cell research is a big deal to his base. So is his appointment of not one but TWO justices who are very likely to be willing to overturn Roe which is patently unconstitutional and horrendous jurisprudence, REGARDLESS of how one feels about abortion.

So while you’re sitting there morally preening like a fool, Trump is doing things his base, the people who elected him want him to do! That’s EXACTLY how things should work. That he’s pandering is only your self serving ASSumption and makes no practical difference. It’s irrelevant what is in his heart, what’s relevant is his POLICY decisions.
