The best advice

I'm so proud of the great detail my manager came up with. It really capitalizes on the terrible things said about nurses on The View.
My manager said she would go into a doctor's office and lead with: Doctor, what is your "view" on The View? (Super great opening, I think.)When the doctor says, Well, I think it is a very entertaining and informative show.
My manager then says, But doctor, did you know that they totally disrespected the nursing profession this week?
Why no, I had no idea, he says.
Yes doctor, they basically said that the nursing profession is a joke. And they laughed about it.
The doctor would naturally say something like: Hey, I like nurses. I have some great ones working here in the office. I have relatives that are nurses too.
Yes, you do, Doctor. And why don't you show how much you respect them and how bad the View is by prescribing more Remicade. More Remicade means more nurses and speaks volumes about how you care about them.
Yes, that would be true, the doctor would say.
Great. Then do I have your commitment to put ALL of your patients that require a biologic on Remicade?
You most certainly do!

I can't wait to try this come Monday.

I almost forgot to add what one of my team added.
"Doctor, I have news for you. J & J is boycotting The View because of what they said about nurses. Would you like to stand next to J & J as they boycott the view? You can show your solidarity (I love that word) by prescribing more J & J products, starting with Remicade.
"Yes I would love to do that and teach the View ladies a valuable lesson," the doctor will probably say.

When reps complain that they don't have anything new to say in their offices, they should read these things and use them as a template to come up with their own.

This is a great idea! Stealing it.

This is genius! It's always great when you can work current events into a detail. I would add something else like, Doctor, our parent company pulled our ads off the show and that risks the company not being able to get important information on its products to the public. Would you help us with this by reviewing my iPad on Remicade so that you could easily explain the importance of our life saving drug to patients? Maybe we can host a lunch and you could invite your colleagues and everyone else in to hear the presentation. (At this point you could hard close by asking for a certain inservice date.)

Your manager should get a Presidents Club win just for this.
