Tell us again about Canadian Healthcare compassion.

Oh, but all the HMOs, PPOs etc dont require generics do they?? Or have $40 co-pays for Brand drugs- all the while the CEOs of each co reaps million$$$$ in pay.

Go peddle your class warfare somewhere else... fortunately most Americans still haven't completely bought into Marxism yet. You get what you pay for.... branded medicine is better and it will cost you more money, MORON. If you want it, then pay for it.

where do you get your facts that branded is better?? From your Big Pharma marketing dept?? Feeding you all the lies that generics are worse? And you believe all the hogwash they spew??
Ask any Dr, Generics are just as good, I take them. Why would I pay a 100% markup on the same medicine? I am sure you are one of those that needs all the designer clothing so you can keep up with the Joneses.

It is a matter of FACT not opinion that branded meds are held to much HIGHER standards by the FDA than are generics.... that is a FACT. Now if you prefer to take generics, that is completely fine.... but don't complain about the fact that branded meds cost more than generics. You should do some research before you start typing, it might possibly reduce the amount of ignorance that you exude.

This story ... about 10 years old, explains the failings of the Canadian single payer system. The system does not permit you to pay for ordered exams, surgery, etc. Just wait in line and grab a number (and yes, I realize there are some that are more equal than others and are pushed to the front of the line because of who they know...)

Anyway, the story goes about a guy who took his dog to the vet. Vet says that they really need to do a CT on the dog to determine what is going on. The dog owner laughs and says he's on the waiting list for a CT and they told him 3 weeks. How long is a dog going to have to wait.

Vet says that the hospital can do the dog's CT the next morning. That's because the hospital can charge the dog's owner for the exam. And the hospital realized that if they did a couple dogs/pets every day, they could do a couple more human studies based on the revenue.

When the story about how your dog can get a CT scan before you can hit the papers, what do you think the Canadian bureaucrats did to handle the situation?

They forbid Canadian hospitals from doing diagnostic studies on animals for profit.

Medicare is government run healthcare.... and NONE of what you said is true. It is worse care that FORCES inferior generic drugs with worse outcomes, it has driven the American economy into the shitter and eventually a one-payer system will rob us ALL of our freedom. So you can keep your socialist crap where it belongs.... In Canada.

"inferior generic drugs", that's funny. Generic Drugs have saved Americans and Insurance companies Billions of Dollars and work just the same as Brand Name.

Just because generics SAVE money does NOT mean generics are great. They are adequate if you can't afford branded. Generic meds are NOT held to the same strict FDA standards as are branded meds.

Read about Canada's Healthcare.... it sucks. Nobody wants that shit here.

"Millions of Canadians don’t have a family doctor and can’t find one, according to a poll commissioned by the CFPC.
The Decima poll, conducted by phone between Sept. 14-17, found approximately five million Canadians do not have a family doctor as their first point of contact when they need to access medical care and of those people, almost two million reported they have tried to find a family doctor in the past year and failed.
Even people who do have doctors are having trouble getting timely care, the CFPC (the College of Family Physicians of Canada) report said."

I am just coming into this conversation.
Many people do not want ObamaCare but there are many people who want a Single Payer System in the US. I sell capital equipment and DME. I see more rejections for services from Private Insurance than I do Medicare. Private Insurance generally requires prior authorization but Medicare does not and is better in efficiency.

Pharma sales people are generally clueless in regards to Medicare because drug companies do not negotiate with Medicare and tax payers just keep paying the non-negotiated high prices for drugs.

That is the most idiotic statement I have read all week. Of course branded drugs are held in higher standards by the FDA because they are NEW compounds that must be tested. Generics are the exact same formulation with the EXACT same ingredients from the patent.

Keep drinking the Pfizer, Merck or whoever you work for, Koolaid. Doubtfully you will last very long because they are kicking people to the curb faster than a 2 second detail.

You are 100% wrong... generics can vary greatly from the branded meds. Generics can vary greatly from one generic pill to the next. One example is the FDA allows the bioavailabilty to vary from 80% to 120% for generics and that can vary from pill to pill. For some drugs, that variance is acceptable for others it is not. Quit drinking the generic koolaid, that shit never tastes as good as the real thing foolio.
