TAK-875 = TANKED-86ed

Actos Family; Niaspan; Advicor.

It's funny to read all this stuff as a "Takeda Alum" - glad I left this bickering mess - Takeda Legacy, you are fighting a losing battle - b/c 90% of these Tappers come on here, and blow up the board - it's been that way for 5+ years. Much less posting before that, b/c people had lives. What a shame, whats happened to this company...

You can't count either, buttercup.

You had 2 products. Actos family and Niaspan family.

I sold Prevacid, Amitiza and Lialda at the same time. What's your point? Since we are stacking up our TAP vs Takeda legacy experience; let's keep going. You sold 2 drugs before Takeda bought TAP?
Prevacid Family, Biaxin, Lupron, Spectracef, Androgel, Amitiza, Lialda, Dexilant. Those of us that were with TAP for quite a while, sold 8 drugs plus injectable/device experience with Lupron. Then I sold Actos for 2 years, easiest sample dropping in my career. Got offered job with Novo and left this shithole. I'm sorry you didn't get the job at Novo and got left behind. There are actually more TAP people at Novo than Takeda legacy, I think that's kind of funny actually. Everything you brag about on here doesn't mean shit to other companies, proof is in the pudding at Novo.

Let's remember that Takeda was 98% Actos and no one needed to promote that product. The initial product in the market was pulled then Avandia had a big label change making it in effect impossible to Rx over Actos. Talk about a drug that was the Forest Gump of diabetes. Two other companies created the market and did all the heavy lifting and Takeda and actos were left after the market events. All that was left were Takeda Legacy peeps thinking they were super bright when they didn't have to lift a finger to get their success. DOn't think Japan didn't see that. That's why TAP legacy is now running Takeda. TAP launched Lupron and had to create the entire market. Then we took Prevacid and kicked AZ's ass with it. Takeda thought Prevacid would be a $400M product. We made it a $4Billion product. We sold. Takeda legacy dropped samples and were the beneficiaries of two competitors being pulled from the market and being the only agent left in the class.

Schooled!!!

Duche, if life is sooooo wonderful at Novo and we suck to pieces WHY BOTHER being here. We give two shits about you and your company, stay on your own board and sing your silly praises.

Well la dee da. Aren't you people the coolest thing since slice bread, how did Takeda ever survive without you, oh that's right they couldn't so they BOUGHT you...not the other way around. You're gone now and NOT MISSED. Why do you feel compelled to come here and sing your praises so much, though protested too loudly.

In May 2007, the Nissen meta-analysis threatened to bring down both TZDs; not just rosi. Takeda marketing did a masterful job in saving Actos. It's really unfair to discredit Takeda by saying "Actos sold itself". Of course, s/p the TAP merger everything has gone to Hell....sad.

It very fair, it was alone in class

Lets remember you worked at TAP and have no clue what happened over here. What everyone knows is TAP had to settle lawsuits for reps being POS and trying to buy off docs. How is that selling? That is in the history books.

Schooled!!!

BTW- Actos was the number 1 selling diabetes drug worldwide, with 3 different classes of generic drugs. Plus you keep on talking about Lupron but that accounted for 600 million vs 2.3 billion in Prevacid sales.

But I am not finished. Takeda took over TAP 6 years ago, why are you still here if you are so damn good???? If you were with either TAP or Takeda for 2005 until the takeover, there is no way you should still be here if you were any good. Not to mention, you actually have experience in oncology and can't get a job elsewhere.

Regardless of TAP vs Takeda, you my friend are simply pathetic. Complain complain complain about what???

You are wrong. TAP took over Takeda. Abbott simply let Takeda buy out their 50% stake and TAP senior management just merged takeda into the then named joint venture TAP and took the takeda name. The only reason Takeda US is not doing well is that we had to keep you sorry excuses for reps from Takeda. Don't worry though. Most of you dead weight Takeda people will be gone by mid year. Good luck all you former Actos "selling" posers. Your time is short here.

Lol yes that's right TAP took Takeda over.

Knowing how to sell a PPI will get you where??? It sure didn't help you get to Ironwood. If you were any good at TAP, you would have been at Gilead or Ironwood. Too bad you are stuck here at Takeda where TAP runs the place.

You just proved my point. Those slackers went to Irondick and Gilead because they are capable of only selling 1 product. Couldn't hack it at Takeda.

The prevailing impression is the AZ kicked TAP's ass. The purple pill's marketing was far superior to the weak prevacid effort, and market share told the whole story. TAP was a burned out JV with no future. Takeda leadership (Yasu) made a terrible deal to buy Abbott out, Miles White must have been laughing all the way to the bank.

And to make matters worse, Yasu chose the former TAP leadership to run the newly merged TPNA. Within a couple of years, those leaders were fired. Alan, Rich etc went on to start another company that ... yes you've guessed it, failed. Not a surprise. Too bad we are still left with former TAP execs running TPUSA. Perhaps they'll get fired in 2014 too, would only been fair given the damage they've done.

If TAP was still a successful company, there is no reason that Takeda and Abbott would have dissolved it. On the other hand, if Yasu could have known what a disaster TPUSA would become, maybe he would have just left TAP to die on its own when Prevacid went generic. Either way, everyone has lost. Great way to destroy value for Takeda stockholders and employees alike. Amazing the damage bad executives can do.

TAP took over Takeda at some levels. i dont think theyll ever be able to turn around the downward spiral Yasu and Takeda Legacy leadership put the company in. They should have held firm, kept all the good people, and let them do what they did best

2014 is gonna be another tough one

You are really clueless. Alan and Rich are 2/3 original founders of TPNA.

Takeda Legacy is a cancer to the organization

....Says 1 of 4,000 TAP Legacy/TAP "Alumni" posters to Cafepharma...you people created the cancer when you came over. Just look at the hundreds of thousands of CP posts - and the bad humor showcased on here, to boot (ie. the "Must husband is a dentist...." series - ugggh).

You are delusional....

TAP was the "glue" that kept everything together. Once we came over, Takeda completely crushed the "spirit of TAP". TAP was extremely successful and had that "hometown" spirit where anything was possible. It was such a "beat down" for so many "TAPPERS" and the emotional toll it took deeply affected the TAP greats! My husband is a Dentist and has a very busy practice. He was so very upset when I was "let go" in the 2012 "wave". However, he was extremely happy and most grateful for the 1 year SEVERANCE that I was able to negotiate! Thanks TAP, I mean Takeda! Now how "TAP" is that? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

OMG...your post started pretty bad, but when you introduced that damn, stupid dentist crap...it became the worst post of the year (so far). I'm sure plenty of other "spirit of TAP" will pop up and top you very soon. So glad I left this place...
