Syncera

I "Syncera" hope that this business move is the one that finally gives Smith Nephew the clean out of management it so desparately needs. I know I am going to do everything possible to see this imitative fail.

OB has declared war on his sales force, so lets see how fast we can frag his career.

So Smith and Nephew has made it official, they are going into competition with their own salesforce. Does that free the sales force to carry competitive lines that offer lower costs/better commissions and are easier to deal with? Seems fair to me.

Monkeys could manage this company better.

Sort of like the sincerity (syncera) behind supporting the sales force....

Syncera and renasys are hard words to spell... They need to come up with better names to described new business segments...

Here is my conspiracy theory on this. Split the company so you have syncera with what every other company basically has from the 1990s and does want and then you have the premium stuff that everyone is trying to develope or has developed. They won't put much money into sync era because they don't have to and let it die. While this time next year oxinum will belong to Stryker and TSF will be synthes and so on with other products. Other companies don't want all of S&N but they will take parts.

"A simpler, less costly service model"

Sounds like Smith and Nephew is making the move toward eliminating sales reps.

Looks like S&N is trying to determine the value of a company rep. Desperate move by a CEO who has no Ortho experience. They are playing with fire by setting up surgeons versus hospital admins....I can see the scenarios now.....difficult case and they call the rep and he says ' I can't help you because you got they low cost/no rep implants '.
