Supervisor/Manager Question

I think we are talking about two different people. I don't believe in naming people on this forum. The original discussion was about a DDS manager in the Southeast.

Who cares? The basic facts are the same....and it doesn't matter, any asshole will do well in the SE...all the pay-offs Hospira has made...the business is all bought and paid for.
 
























Cost containment everywhere except the ivory tower of Lake Forest. The US plants are now like sweat shops and until product can be made for less than they can be made for in India the movement overseas will continue. Kind of ironic that there is no manufacturing in Chicagoland anymore yet the corporate offices remain. I wonder if someday it will relocate to Bombay, Mumbai or whatever it's called these days, a lovely little town of 12+ million, once the SLT and the cast of consultants implement the final solution...
 






Are managers supposed to be riding with us on a normal schedule. I hear about it from other reps but not seeing it. Am I part of the norm or part of a potential downsizing. Just want to know. Only serious responses please.
 






Yes. That was part of the plan. This varies from manager to manager. Some of them take it very seriously while others do not. They are supposed to ride with us once per quarter and fill out a report.

You must be a rookie.. or a total moron...probably both because you actually came to work for this company....or were the only sucker who would accept the job with all the great benes and salary.
 






To the writer who's mgr doesn't adhere to the quarterly ride along policy. You probably have a good mgr who thinks SFDC is a POS just like anyone else who has a brain. He/ She is probably one of the good ones. Your mgr probably doesn't think you need somebody looking over your shoulder while you are doing your job. Enjoy.

This made me laugh so hard. I thought my manager was the only one who did this. He stays two nights in the nicest hotel in town to work with me for one day. He offers zero benefit to me in the field but he is mighty proud of his hotel points. The company could eliminate the district managers and just have regionals and save the money.

Wrong thread. I am good with my job. Working just fine with salesforce.com. My competitors are not a threat to me. I just have a worthless manager who offers no benefit to me in the field. Maybe I will apply for the management position at some time. That isn't on my agenda right now.

I am just curious. What is a "goose steppen one shotter" and who is GP? Is the goose going to go doo doo on GP's head or is GP going to step in the goose doo doo and slip and fall?
