If anyone is thinking that the sales upper management is making the calls to acquire companies and decide pay scales then you’re ignorant. Paying the reps more than you isn’t about you not being cared for or about being terrified. For one, you would expect a raise if you took a new job with your experience and two, if you tried to buy a profitable company and not attempt to retain the sales force responsible for that with some incentive then that would also explain why you’re not understanding the current state of affairs. Hard to say, all depends on if they retro actively retract and lower the bonus payout after it is already earned..
