SUBOXONE--Reckitt Benckiser

I do not know the answer to the "contract" portion of the question, but I can tell you that the product is fantastic and one of a kind. The physicians you would be promoting to, are also a specialized, sophistacted group - not a bad situation. I would say it is a far better opportunity than what is currently out there! Also, by the way, contract situations no longer are less stable than working directly for the manufacturer - look at all the pharma co's laying off - the entire industry has changed!

Yes, it's just a shame that the emperor in charge, PL, is a total dictator who rules by whim and emotion.

Yes, she and Chris both are the reasons why not many want to work for them! Think twice about going for this contract!

In response to the person who inquired about whether or not working with Reckitt Benckiser Pharma is a good decision. Read on and spare yourself the job from hell. You don't want to work for this company, period. Per people remaining in the company and those that have left, there are allegedly more lawsuits than you can shake a stick at. From waht I've heard by way of original C. L.'s who were hired by this company to help them launch their new med Suboxone, they were all hung out to dry and treated beyond disrespect. After employment, almost every promise made to them-was eventually negated, even basic selling tools were denied. The dishonesty and deceit and mistreatment of the original team of reps was beyond description. The situation was despicable by even the lowest of business standards. They couldn't even get the company to pay speakers that they themselves had developed, without any support whatsoever from the parent company. We were told of physicians who were ready to take them to court for ongoing delay of honoraria payment. The reps were humiliated and apparently, continue on being humiliated. They didn't even have literature to detail with, no one to handle managed care industry, the lack of customer support was appalling for such a major med and its target market of seriously ill opiate dependents. There was no managed care team, the med was not on any formularly of any kind-it was pathetic. The managed care staff they hired is apparently leaving or being fired as fast as the sales force. Further, there is word that not even the most basic of business plans, bonus or quota plans were in place and what is is changed in the blink of an eye, moment to moment. The term treated beyond indecency comes to mind, after listening to these horror stories from very credible people. There are unbelievable stories of about the abomination of a management team that is ongoing there. One story told was that when the sales force very appropriately/professionally gave feedback on how poorly the management team was performing, they were set up to be ostracized, isolated and run out of their jobs for speaking up. Apparently, per this source, new reps and managers were encouraged and rewarded for ratting out the original team members, if even the slightest mention of the truth of the situation was brought to light to new employees. Due to this, a number of new hires and managers, set out to take out the original team members and thus the hostile workplace turned into a veritable cesspool. All new reps had to do was win brownie points by telling their managers about alleged infractions of senior reps and these reps were sent packing or forced out of their jobs. Its screw or be screwed.

The motivation behind everything they do is to sell the company. This is why they don't care how they treat people, give no stock, etc. CH, the big sleezeball pulling the strings, still has an Austin area cell phone after living in Richmond for several years and is actively looking for other employment. As his reputation is shot after this, he is apparently having some trouble.
Just accept this and either hang on for the ride or move on.

Bravo for whoever wrote this. It is so right on that it felt like I was writing it myself. I do hope they get hung out to dry!

Just out of curiosity, is CH having problems with the higher management? I would love to know, because he is a sleezeball and I hope he gets treated the same ways he has treated everyone else!! I am sure eventually he will get his. What goes around, comes around.

When I interviewed for this contract last year and was approved by the dm and the pss liaison to meet with pl, I was so excited since it seemed like such a great contract, not your typical sales job. PL took a dislike to me, was distracted during my interview and "passed" on my candidacy; I was devastated, since I was the only rep being sent to met her for my territory. After reading these posts, I am SO VERY GRATEFUL this did not work out for me; my life would have been hell. Things really do work out for the best; good luck to those of you dealing with this insanity.

to the 8:32am poster - I am sorry this hapenned to you - that is horrible. I hope you found a great place to work! I am curious, though - what was it that PL seemed displeased with? Was it something that was being discussed, something in your background, etc.? That seems so unusual that a person would get that far and she would "pass".

This almos sounds like PL wrote this. Sweet on the outside but dark and sour on the insid. Just like CH! Two peas in a pod. No wonder why he hired her aka the henchman!

I interviewed with the contract co., PSS today regarding a sales position. Thank you for your information and honesty.
The interview was interesting. Guidlines were discussed and agreed upon before interview. For example: 1. You understand meetings/training you will have a roommate. 2. Work day is 8am 5 pm. 3. You will work 5 days a week, every day of the week. I have been in the pharma field for years, never heard these statements during the interview process. My perception of the company, sounds like a great product with good potential, not sure the "marketing" is in the direction Suboxone should be going. I felt the need to say
When you hire a person you should have the confidence in your decision.

CH is having problems covering his tracks, but upper management is just as bad as he is. Regardless, he will get his someday soon.

Roommates in training?

I may possibly be getting an offer soon. My interview was nothing like that described above. I honestly like the PSS DM and the RB manager as well. PL sounded a bit cold.

I thought this was a "specialty" type position. Roommates in training is unbelievable. Tell me you are joking. I want confirmation, because that, believe it or not, may play into accepting or not accepting the job. At this point in my career, spending 2 weeks cramped in with some stranger is no longer my style.

Roommates in training and at all meetings. And you will be micromanaged and treated like an entry-level rep, regardless of your title. What RB manager did you interview with?

From someone who knows, dont take the position. Really all the posts are correct. Upper management doesnt care about anything. They are there to make a quick buck and get out.
