not bitter, just realistic. Do you really think that a person whose job as a sales rep is worth $180-195K with what we do? You you really think companies are going to sustain the rep at this cost? I have been around for almost 20 years and seen the change in this industry. My father was a rep and DM for Bristol Myers before it became BMS starting in the 1960's. There is now e-detailing, iPod details, automatic shippment of samples, web sites for drug information which is much better then what some of the reps can do...that never happened before. Do you understand the lack of respect that Pharma reps have now? Do you really think that a lunch for a bunch of cows is cost effective not only for BMS but for any company? The answer is no. Get your head out of the sand and try to understand the reality of the industry and where we are heading.
