This is pointless.
Sorin; Italian so big in Italy
ELA; French so big in France

Some nice algorithms but nothing else. And they have been looking for a buyer for years...

This is not true, J&J made a small play but Sorin doesn't want to sell, they have some stuff coming down the pipeline that they feel are going to escalate their company....time shall tell

This is ridiculous. J&J would just hire engineers and develop their own devices from scratch, as ridiculous as that sounds, before buying ELA, or Sorin, or whatever they're calling themselves this week.

ELA will always be a small player in the US market, for many reasons as described above. Their best shot at keeping that <1% Mkt share is to focus on the rejects: NEPIs and Ego-Inflated Cardiologists who think they are qualified to do a HV implant. The vast majority of EPs will steer clear of ELA. Period.

This is probably the truest statement on this whole site. The doctors who implant Sorin would never put one in their own family members, just their patients.
