Some layoff now, more starting Q1/2021. My HR friend said get ready.

With the amount of people let go yesterday, there is no way primary care can get smaller.

How many times did I read this quote several months ago when rumors of layoffs were being started on CP. You my friend are a POS, giving people false hope. This industry if fucked and our jobs are not secure by any definition. Fucking idiot.

Pascal told me everything is the right size!! You are full of shit unless it’s different divisions than respiratory and Diabetes.

All senior leaders tell us that all the time. Why would they want to create panic and have field personal spend days looking for new employment and not drinking the kool-aid.

Look at what just happened. All EBD's landed well. Either staying in the same role or going back to brands at a high level. They protect their own. PSS's, DSM's and yes even CBD's are various pawns on the chess board.

Wake up people. Personally, I will play the game although marginally. Honey Badger don't give a shit. My new DSM starting in 2021 is an old school sales guy that I don't think I can BS like I can w/ the one I have now and the CBD is a bipolar.

Thank you for putting salt in already open wound. If you actually had a friend in HR, you’d be able to tell us which divisions will be affected in Q1 2021.

A whole lot of real people lost their jobs yesterday. Please, with all due respect, go lay by your dish.

Those of us who have been in pharma for 15+ years know that one’s head is always on the chopping block. It is corporate pharma.

LOL, right!!!! As you know AZ is notorious about laying off in December, I’m sorry you got let go, but take your negative ass and go find a job!!!! In oncology it was nice to hear and get reassurances that this franchise is making money, expanding, and continue to be the revenue generating part of the country. The problem with diabetes and respiratory was the amount of reps and managers they have, fortunately we fought that in oncology and continue to operate with the OneKam approach. If you listened to the Q-3 earnings report, oncology delivered double digit growth. AZ sold its rights to Crestor and is investing that money into oncology because the company knows that is the fastest way to get to the 45 billion by 2023.

On another thread "AZ values...." the discussion is about how abhorrent AZ is having reps go into the field during another spike in COVID. These people crack me up. We just have a layoff where some very good people were let go. RST remains untouched (like they are the chosen ones). Anyway, now people are bitching about going back in the field.
So, to the OP of this thread, my response is, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. This next time though look to RST. Lots and lots of dead wood there.

Yes, Oncology does work/not work differently. There has been zero access here for years. I’ve been in oncology for for years. Basically if I do get an appointment which is rare I will invite my teammates. On average I work approximately 10 hours per week. Yes, that was prior to Covid. I just simply leave literature for the healthcare providers. It is a huge paying job with little to no satisfaction. One big fat lie daily.

Same with biologics. Just a dance we all do.
