Solid Tumor Oncology Leadership

A toxic place to work with leaders throwing everyone under the bus to look good and the morale is so low, wonder if HR or senior leadership even cares for the well being of people and prevent mass exodus.

Regional call on Friday with FAH. What a piece of work. Lecturing everyone “you’re not doing this, you’re not doing that”, “submitting IPad veeva asset use is non-negotiable“. Same BS metrics as last year, the best year in a decade for oncology and yet, she and the rest of them seem to have completely forgotten. Regional manager team can’t wait until she moves on, she has zero emotional intelligence

I was in GSCO and recently left for a company that respects their employees. Like night and day compared to JNJ. The toxicity in Oncology is worse than I've ever experienced anywhere. So glad to be away from the demons there.

Could you elaborate a little bit more on the type of "toxicity" you experienced? Considering my next moves and want to be prepared. What makes it more toxic than other areas?

anyone who has an opinion in opposition to the J&J narrative is essentially told to shut up. all the leaders across US and GCSO drink the kool aid and want everyone else to do the same

Had my 3rd interview this week for solid tumor. What’s realistic for Exec Oncology Consultants pay range? $175 base and 60-75k commission? Trying to understand what the payoff will be for dealing with inept leadership.

Telling employees directly that if they don't meet their targets, there will be consequences (youll be looking for a new job consequences). Sharing their displeasure and stati g that "it diesnt loog goof for X employee" when an employee misses a mtg scheduled by the VP 2 weeks prior and that employee was on vacation they scheduled 8 months ago. Cutting operating budgets in half when there is 4 times the work to be done than money necessary to do it and telling people to "figure it out or there will be consequences"....meaning, work 12 hour days including weekends because there is no budget for additional respurces. Denying another employee's time off to attend the funeral of a lifelong friend . Putting people on performance improvement plans that had years of stellar service prior.
Shall I go on ?
