Six weeks severance, Bonus & Vacation

Seriously, what would have happened if you told them one of numerous excuses and had been "out of compliance?"

Something along the lines of not being able to fulfill a basic job requirement and then getting fired without a severance package. I don't know what's worse. No severance or getting stuck with a car note and having to deal with the hassle of trying to sell the car at a loss.

you get to stay on healthcare for 30 days on their tab before you have to start COBRA. and brace yourself ...family coverage on COBRA is over $1800 a month premium. I'm shopping better prices now as preemptive move.

You can probably cut that premium in half. You will just have to be willing to go through a complete health evaluation.

You get to stay on health coverage until the end of the month of your last day on the job--don't count severance days or vacation days. Your last day worked.

Then you have 30 days to decide on COBRA or not--BUT, if you don't opt for COBRA on the first of the month AND pay your premium, you won't be covered. Forget going to the doc or getting any scripts filled. You have no insurance until your premium is paid AND posted with UHC.

May I just add to any decision makers reading this that the folks who were laid off in October were under review for low performance and were threatened with a PIP. We on the other hand are being laid off because of "restructuring". Why are we being given the same disrespectful kick to the curb terms, especially with health insurance?

First of all, the month was August. Remind me again how the XXR numbers took off after the "low performance" people left.

Whether you admit it or not, this "restructuring" is all part of the same problem. You didn't set the world on fire with XXR either. If you had, this "restructuring" wouldn't be happening. You're being laid off for low performance just like the others--just 9 months later.

There were lots of problems, not the least of which was that XXR is a dog.

But you tell me: What is the difference between the people that left last year not selling enough XXR and the people who remained not selling enough XXR? Sales ultimately sustain a product, and that didn't happen.

Seems to me you provided your own answer.
