As a prior employee who was terminated for "performance" reasons, even though my numbers were always above goal and I was "never" written up or reprimanded can attest....the above posts are unfortunately very true. I was set up and let go by a micromanaging insecure manager who thought the best way to treat people was by intimidation and threats. Its amazing this person gets away with it, but given the fact that senior management operates the same way, its not surprising. This is the typical mentality at Silverado and it starts from the senior management team. This company was founded on the principle of helping people and making a difference. It is so unfortunate that the current management team doesn't believe in the same vision and are more concerned about covering their ineffective asses and firing the people who really care and put the company's interests first. Mr Shook and Mr Winner, I hope you have an opportunity to read some of these posts and do some research of your own. If you truly care about the people you serve and take the time to do this, I am confident you will find there are managers/senior managers that tell you what you want to hear but dont follow the Silverado philosophy. They are ruining the company both on the inside (bad overall moral) and on the outside (bad name in the community).
