SICD

You have not read the published data that continues to demonstrate benefits and safety of SICD. I would love to compete against you. You're one of those competitors that simply regurgitates what marketing shovels down your throat.

Put simply, you're not a good rep.

So let me get this straight. You sell a device to less than 2% of the ICD candidates that's the size of a pace maker from the 1960's with less than half the battery life of a modern day ICD and delivers over 60% inappropriate shocks and a lead with 5 years data and you're proud of that? Bravo!

Glen Novarro, RBC Capital Markets Report, July 1, 2014
* We surveyed ~50 high volume U.S based electrophysiologists across the country. The physicians collectively implant ~5% of total U.S. market volume. The U.S. market share among our respondents is as follows: MDT (39%), BSX (33%), STJ (26%) and other (2%). Our survey highlights several datapoints that are positive for BSX, including share gains in the CRT-D segment of the ICD market and continued momentum of its S-ICD.

* Survey Suggests Boston's S-ICD Gaining Momentum. Our survey confirms that Boston's S-ICD rollout is gaining momentum, as management continues to make progress in building manufacturing capacity to satisfy demand. On average, we found that our respondents expect to increase their share of S-ICDs to ~16% in 2Q14 and ~18% in 3Q14 (vs. ~14% in 1Q14). We believe the survey is directionally correct, offering a source of potential upside for BSX. For reference, our survey work in the past indicated that S-ICDs would garner mid to high single digit penetration. Moreover, the open commentary is more positive, as compared to our historical surveys. We are noticing that fewer respondents are citing that the S-ICD will play in a niche market and instead seeing more comments like "game changer" and ""very important."

do*uchebag.
