Severance Package

Anyone else relieved that they got displaced? The extended warn period + severance package was actually pretty decent. Seems way better than being stuck in the dumpster fire that Allergan has turned into.

Hell Yes!!! I could not be more pleased. Allergan sucks so bad. I feel like a 50lb weight has been lifted off of me.

good for y'all if you're happy. Hopefully you find another job soon and can get some double dip in pay.
It sounded like Jerry said they were putting together a generous package which sounded like it was more than what is listed on HR1.
So what was your total severance as far as weeks paid? And how long were you with the company?

Warn period through Oct 27th including full benefits, PTO accrual and full bonus payout through October 27th. Then severance kicks in after that. I received 14 weeks and have been w company 3+ years

I wonder how long it will be until our cars get picked up?
I was bummed at first about getting the call. But now I'm realizing how much money I can possibly bank by double dipping and the increase in salary with another company since we get paid crap!
Besides, we all know another layoff is right around the corner!

Not sure if you've been paying attention, but most companies are reducing field sales people and laying off. You might not plan on that double dipping idea!

Was let go in 2015 RIF, took 10 months to find a job with a step down title( more money though). It's not perfect, company employs Bottom 10% gone each year. However, it bests Actavis by far. Good Luck, this is a contracting profession.

Of course there will be. Company is sinking fast and cutting costs (jobs) is the only way to stay semi-attractive to potential suitors. The funny thing is, they are still really bad at just cutting costs, still way too many PCR managers out there with bloated salaries. How do all of these higher ups not see this?

got to love how the company does layoffs and changes territory alignments, but then literally turns around and puts up a job posting for the territory where they just let someone go!!! Just unreal

Yeah they used the layoff opportunity to get rid of reps/DMs that were on probation, had disciplinary action, below expectations on annual evals or if they just didn't like them. They did it during the last layoff too. Don't get me wrong, they definitely reduced head count but they also use that opportunity to get rid of employees as well. Nothing wrong with that.
