I can tell you I was in a training class back in 2007 with AZ. There was one girl that had left a great Job with Kraft foods making about the same as with AZ except the benefit package at AZ was a bit better and she had two small kids. Halfway through training....she was a sharp individual....they tapped her shoulder in the middle of training class and we never saw her again....One of the girls in training finally got in touch with her a month later. The trainers told her that she was not taking this serious and would not fit with the AZ culture.

Kraft is a much better company, and hopefully they took her back.

My recruiter mentioned that 16 out of 114 reps failed the AZ training, and that the big issue for AZ was the ability to use the laptop electronic MSA. She suggested getting with an AZ rep to practice with one if you haven't had a lot of experience with the electronic MSA concept.

Prime example of the misguided priorities of AZ. Rather have people who can use the MSA up to their standards than have reps with good people skills that can effectively relate the information to physicians! AZ full of educated FOOLS!!!!!

I call bullshit on this! I had three people in my sims section who could barely speak English and they weren't penelized! Also one guy in our group had to come back a second day to get through it. Unless they have dramatically changed their ability to be fair minded, you guys are mistaken!

Look, if the trainers like you, they will let you slide!!!! In my experience, there were individuals who did an excellent job and were let go. People who made numerous mistakes were reatained. I think that it is up to the shitty trainers to decide. My suggestion is to be on your best behavior AND know the material.
 






We had one rep who didn't close for the business on 2 of 3 presentations, didn't hit many of the key points on any of the 3, couldn't pronounce some of the terms yet she was retained. One guy hit all but one point during the 3 presentations and was terminated there. I felt bad for him because the was an experienced rep with great people skills and would have been very successful if given the chance. You are correct about the loser trainers. If they liked you, you were in despite what you did on presentations. There were others who were told they were in and then contacted later that day and told they had to meet with the RM/DM on the next Monday to present again. Some were terminated after the Monday meeting. Others only had to answer some questions about the pricing structure. Seems it would have been a good idea to put them on probation for 60-90 days to see how they did in the field first before making any decisions. Of course the decisions were being made mostly by AZ legal, HR and training so there was very little common sense involved. UH, you said "and" when you should have said "Or". Obviously you are a risk. We have to let you go because we are not concerned if you can sell these dog products. We're all about the "script"! Idiots!
 






According to AZ and Contract Sales this is what they can do, Require the best of the best. The trainers report everything back to DSM and RSD. They find they perfect fit and get rid of the misfit. There are no consequences for getting rid of someone that does not fit the AZ mold. It may not sound fare, however, this is why AZ likes have contract reps.
