sent home from az training

you have to work for an employer for 10 weeks to qualify for unemployment and getting fired disqualifies you in most states
It depends on what happened with your previous employer. If you were collecting unemployment prior to this position, you should be able to collect unemployment again. Publicis has to tell your local unemployment office the reason for your discharge. You must have been discharged for an action that constitutes misconduct, otherwise, you will be able to collect unemployment once again.

This is the best answer and likely for what would happen.

I just don't see how they can say NO when you are discharged for silly reasons, like not accurately answering questions to tests that are often tricky questions, ask the Wave 1 crew from P4, most of whom get screwed from Pfizer.

For this very reason, I am not reporting employment to my unemployment office until I come back from training. I obviously won't get unemployment pay for the weeks of home and away training, but if for some reason I didn't make it, I wouldn't have to go through this. I am so sorry that this happened to you. Makes me so entirely nervous about the training. I don't really understand why putting so much pressure on someone makes AZ feel better. Not like it's realistic to what goes on in the field. I always get nervous about role playing, however, I have been very successful. Some people are not comfortable role playing, just as some are not test-takers, etc. Again, so sorry this happened.

AZ is an ANAL company in many respects, but especially in their demands for robot-like,canned presentations! They don't have a clue about what real selling is,since they hire consulting groups to tell them how to do it! These are the same consulting groups that sold pharma on that wildly successful concept of "share of voice",that pissed every physician off!The sad thing is that they will never understand and this company will continue to go down the tubes!

bottom line is to do the very best you can at training EXACTLY the way they want it no matter how ridiculous, absurd or unrealistic it seems; be a ROBOT, be an ACTOR memorizing a script, give your performance, because the reality is, once you return and hit the field, you are going to do things your own way (ie, realistically).

Yes, 4 reps were sent home from delware last week, you must role play word for word or you are gone, memorize every detail piece, and you are video taped everywhere you go, watch out, beware!

I was sent home. It sucks. I like Publicis but hate AstraZeneca. I was sitting at my desk during training and the one of the trainers taps me on the back and said follow me. In the hallway she said go to your room and pack your bags. A cab will be waiting for you in 1 hour and this is your flight information...Good Luck...No reason was given me until I asked another trainer..all He said was that I was joking and not taking things serious enough for AZ. My god I was making conversation and trying to make this training a little more entertaining for all of us. Fuck Vimovo shit.
