Salary

Interesting if true. Where might we find this information?

I’m not sure about failed actor , but he claimed to be a child model and was very proud of it. He even showed a picture of himself up on the big screen. It was all a part of a stupid game - guess who this child picture is from the corp office. Like any of us really care.

Just a bit of an exaggeration.... Any pharma co has the same typical BS.... it may be a bit more here, but the $ can be decent. There are worst places to be....

Salix may suck “a bit more” than the average pharma company. There’s a full throated, ringing endorsement. I agree there are worse places to be. However, there are also better companies out there and they are aggressively recruiting. Keep your options and your eyes open. You may find something that makes you more happy and more money.

Sure they are... Intercept seemed like a great place to go didnt it? It didnt work out so well for most.... I’ll take my $$$ here and just ignore / deal with the BS from Jabba and co.

Intercept is one example. The risk there was extremely high. And they offered the reps and managers who went there unheard of money and incentives to join ahead of approval to meet that level of risk. Unfortunately it did not work out. The BMS expansion is much more stable. Reps that left here a few years back to go Pharming to sell the Santarus rare disease product are doing extremely well making well over $200,000. And they love working there. Point is, you can stay at Salix if you are happy. If not, there are better opportunities.

Try working under any manager being lead by MM. He makes them all insane.

He also pits managers against each other and has his pets in NY and NJ spy on the others and report back to him. And he pushes them to force us to do stuff that is non-compliant and borderline illegal. Like sharing patient information between doctors and specialty pharmacy. How he gets away with it is anyone’s guess. Must have compromising pictures of JC or something.

Mohan is the worst. Pretends to be a nice guy. In truth he is a dishonest, lying, scheming MF-er. Watch your back.

Call the ethics hotline and report everything you know anonymously. They’ll need to check it out and you cannot be identified. It’s people like him that make this industry so slimy. Do your part to clean it up. You’ll be doing yourself and everyone else a favor.

Many long time ethical pharma companies did away with sales goals years ago. Lilly and GSK use customer service metrics and MBOs to evaluate and pay out their IC plan.

Salix is a shady, win at all costs, pressure cooker. You are as good as your weekly number. Nothing more and nothing less. And the leadership team gets paid off your bonus plus a percentage. So many conversations like this; “You know that rep is costing you money. Get them on a plan and get them out and you can climb the ranking.” Guys like Mohan brag constantly about clearing out entire teams and how that got them to PClub. The question is, at what cost? How many reps and livelihoods did they ruin to win a stupid trip to a sub par all inclusive hotel? Was it worth it? Later in life when they need a reference or support, will anyone be there to help them? Probably not. This industry is small. What comes around, goes around and eventually it will land at their feet.

GSK has Rx goals and pays IC based on them.
