The fact that women, other than yourself, who have carried a child agree with me invalidates your argument that as a male, my thoughts on the subject are somehow not as valid.Again, this is a moral and logical question. Carrying a child doesn't enter into it.

Excuse me, in no way do I support or oppose abortion in my post-- re-read it, and dont accuse me of supporting "death".
You make a very complex issue into a vile accusation. Abortion is not simple, nor is it a simple choice. It is very easy for you to tell women to "close their legs", but why dont you tell all men to quit thinking with their p**^1's's! You know it takes 2 to tango.
Here is another statistic for you---- Did you know the crime rate went down in NYC in the last 30 years? Why? Becuase of abortion rates, less children born into single mother poverty homes.
And I suppose you support the Death Penalty? Hippocrit

For someone who claims to not have taken a position, you do seem to support the pro death squad like SPN. Of course, I could be wrong. If your position were so tenable, you wouldn't have to hide behind euphamisms like "pro choice" or "reproductive rights" etc.

Yes, it is easy to tell women to keep their legs closed if they do not want to get pregnant. Since those of you who possess a vagina claim that you have some hidden heretofore unforeseen insight, maybe you can explain it to me. Why is it so hard for you to keep your legs close? Do they fly open involuntarily at the sight of a penis? Do women not know that it is sex that leads to unwanted pregnancies? What is the real reason for engaging in activity that leads to what you say is an unwanted outcome?

Yep, men want to have sex, there is no doubt about that. But......and this is the big but. If a woman doesn't want to, it doesn't matter what he wants to do. Short of rape, women are in control. Isn't that what they say when they want access to abortion? They want to control their bodies? The lowering of the birth rate over a 50 yr period from 6 per family to 1.9 is one of the primary reasons Brazil has become one of the most robust economies in the world. We have too many people.

I have grown tired of the endless speeches and empty promises or pledges from the white house. The jobs speech is nothing but noise, with no detailed policy plan behind it. Obama has been in office for 3 years and we are supposed to believe that all of a sudden, he has a plan. Further, that he had to go on vacation to prepare this plan. Too bad there is nothing but a speech with details to be shared 'later'. Maybe he'll come up with it if he goes on another vacation.

Along with Perry's coarse approach that I find a major turn off, his website is very obama-ish. He talks about what he has done but not how this would translate to the national stage. He speaks boldly and often overstates, such as SS being a ponzi scheme or being unconsitutional, but has not shared his plan for a better solution. And like obama, it is me, me, me. It's great to identify the problems, but what are you going to do about them?

In contrast, Romney has been criticized for being too detailed, like his 59 step jobs plan. But look at his policy plans. There is thought, analysis, as well as detailed proposals here. Some are over aggressive, such as saying he would get congressional action within 30 days. But he shows he has studied the situation, understands it, and has a proposed solution. This isn't just noise and rhetoric. He closes the deal by fully endorsing the greatness of America. This guy is no apologist and has never suggested succeeding from the union.

We'll all make our individual decisions but I want substance over flash, rational leadership over bullying and forcing your opinion, and informed decision making over the most impactful one-liners. Romney leads for me.

At this point, if it were between Obama & Romney tomorrow, I'd go for Romney. He's a successful businessman and his religion (which of course is irrelevant) was founded with the concept of multiple wives (sex partners).

I love good business sense and I appreciate multiple partner sex so.........Romney! :cool:
