RIP Baxter...







why has stock gone up the last couple of days? News of a buyout?
Cannot be on earnings up from all those terminated yet?
Market noise… vantive was sold for nothing Because it is worth nothing unless you restructure it in the right way or combine it with another business with better margins…
This weekend is finally the big day and from next week vantive will start to operate by itself and Baxter without its renalcare bu… this is actually when the fun will start because Joe will need to announce its shitty results blaiming whomever but actually say nothing on its future structural costs which more likely will go through the roof…
vantive will spend the next 2 or 3 years burning cash trying to exit the baxter fence just to get to the stage where Baxter left them at spin off…
think a minute about all the upcoming costs for both companies in getting their respective new setup… for last 2 years the entire
company focused on that spin and for the next 3 years will focus on tsa exit… so much valuable time that could have been used to optimize and reset the entire baxter… so much burnt cash in consultants across the board and in severance for valuable people…
 






This company and this stock is going to be a turd for a loooong time. Going to take months to get a new CEO installed and many more months/years after that for CEO to make changes to the toxic and incompetent team Joe surrounded himself with and to have some semblance of a strategic plan in place to right the ship. Uphill struggle for whoever takes the reigns....if anyone is even up for the challenge. If the price is right, I guess.

yes correct massive severance payments I will be receiving $400K USD and already have a few jobs lined up , such a waste . I was committed but seen as surplus and expensive. Nobody really cares , heather is for heather, Alok is for alok, reaz is for reaz, so my advice each of you left behind be for you ! the reason my severance is so high i kept all correspondence , all minutes and screenshots from my manager and VPs saying stupid things, ALL of you should collect and video record every interaction you have with your manager and all leaders , collect this you never know when you need to use it !! Baxter isnt squeaky clean, price gouging, market collusion, HCP bribery, tax avoidance, staff bullying. workplace accidents when you see it record it and use it to your advantage like Joe is know flying around in his jet at shareholders expense ......

Good luck , ultimately if your young and smart Baxter isnt the place to be ....

This 100% is not how Baxter does severance. I have been involved in planning & executing multiple RIFs over the years and someone with claims like this has no bearing at all. There is a severance policy you can find online with the equation. If Baxter started to deviate, they'd have everyone trying to negotiate and open themselves up to even more legal risk than what was described here.

Calling BS on this-- post a picture of your legal severance agreement showing the amount or it didn't happen.
 












Nonesene there is no online severance data, particulalry outside of USA , i take it your a US based HR pen pusher who believes the US runs the word. Do you know what Christiano F pay out was ? or David Akeroyds, or Joanna Yaos ? I wont mention another person but they threatened to bring Baxter UK to its knees with tax avoidance behaviours My advice to all employees is same as the OP , collect data to enhance your leverage power , Look at Joes behaviour that egomanic has a fantastci exit package after such a toxic ineffective regin.And i might add HR under Jean Masons leadership DID NOTHING to protect people from Joe , he would meet with individuals for 2 mins and issue a " move them on " edict to HR who blindly followed his orders
