Start by asking "What do people need?" "What can I do?" "What tools, equipment do I need to get?" "Who do I want to target?" "What does the competition do that I can do better and cheaper?"
You have a lot more options if you own a pick-up truck.
Here are some suggestions:

1.) Carpet cleaning...all it takes is $5000 of equipment.

2. Window washing, pressure washing driveways, gutter cleaning....easy

3.) Mobile car detailing service. Did you know that windshield wipers never need to be replaced? The blade can be sharpened with a $5 tool if necessary over and over. Apply a special coating to windshield, paint and tires to enhance appearance. All with stuff available from your auto store. Vaccum the interior with a powerful shop-vac. Air freshener. Charge $100-150! market yourself. Beginning may be hard, but eventually word gets around and you get repeat business as well.

4.) Start your own adult website. There are 8 billion people on this planet. Everyone is watching sooner or later. Buy content over the internet.

5.) You can also drive part time for DHL, Amazon, Fed Ex, or work part time for the USPS. Pay is usually around $21. Not much, but very steady income.

6.) Become a Youtube influencer. Women do this all the time. They dress in skimpy clothes, wiggle their butts a bit for 15 seconds, get 10 million clicks, and thousands of Dollars.

I have dozens of ideas for all of you. The marketing part of your services should be easy. But do it. Who can't use an extra 2000-3000 Dollars a month, instead of aimlessly driving around chasing doctors that don't want to see someone who has absolutely nothing to say except blah blah....

The last thing in the world you want to do: Put your trust, life and soul in a Pharma company. Several biggies have massive layoffs, i.e. Pfizer. A.I. WILL change things for all of us, because it will be much more effective and much cheaper than a drug rep...
There is no future in this industry. Smart people prepare for the future while they are young, so they can take it easy later on...CNBC reported today that an astonishing 62% of Americans LIVE CHECK TO CHECK.

I don't know about Otsuka being a failure of a company. They have figured out how to milk the healthcare system to the hilt and don't feel bad about syphoning the max out of patients with mental disorders. But if you take Otsuka away, neither the company nor the products, nor the reps would be missed. It's beyond me what you do when you work with your DMs! Mine only works with me half a day, and then has to "meet someone", make "phone calls", or has a "teleconference"...amazing how that happens every time. May be going shopping, going to the gym or getting laid...who knows. Same the following day. It's fine with me. I am pretty sure this goes on nationwide. All this non - productivity is priced into the drugs, only to be paid for by patients either directly or indirectly. Unreal. And it seems nobody sees anything wrong with it.

And btw, I am neither a socialist, nor do I support Harris or Trump. (Both are incompetent, and neither one seems to be aware of our $35 Trillion Dollar deficit, let alone what to do to reverse this run-away train.)

I always get the restaurant to add on a $10 gift certificate for me at every lunch I do! Is that stealing? Of course it is! Don't cheat on your expense report!! Absolutely not worth it! You can lose your job in a heartbeat. Why risk getting a few extra Dollars to lose the salary, bonus, company car and 401K??? These charges get easy to spot after a while!

disallowing lunches. Personally, I prefer it. I am not a caterer, and while half of the world rarely eats, entitled fat nurse bitches complain about the food not being to their liking.

A few years ago, I had brought food into a clinic, and that exact scenario happened. The nurses got a lecture from me, I took my food and brought it to a fire station who was appreciative! Should have seen the look in their eyes when I took the food and walked out!! Foxtrott Yankee!! Of course, I was the problem and rude!

But we as an industry have brought this attitude of entitlement upon ourselves. And the idiots at the home office promote it. Spend spend spend, even if it does not result in more scripts or revenue. After all, we can raise prices ad nauseam. That someone else suffers for that is of no concern to these assholes. And if that wasn't enough, the patient indirectly pays for the lobbyists of big Pharma in Washington who will ram a nice financial stick up the patient's bunghole by bribing members of congress with "campaign contributions" so they will help Pharma ripping off patients even more. Sorry, I disagree. Most of them do care, some more so than others. The speakers are, of course in it for the money only and get handsomely rewarded for telling the audience not one iota more than we as reps could. Again, in the end, it's the patient that pays for this bullshit. But Otsuka sees nothing wrong with it. And Lord help you if you need to cancel programs because nobody wants to attend this promotional programs in disguise.

Just look at the latest indication we have received for Result and how much money has been spent on promotion, versus the revenue generated, while Latuda and Vraylar eat our lunch! Absolutely ridiculous!!!
