You are missing the point here. We can’t do our job when offices we are already calling on (and have plenty of representation to begin with) have another rep bothering them when they are not needed or wanted.
My green rep is great but it is affected my business because I am getting shut out of accounts because of this and offices are getting annoyed. Therefor my business is being affected so I can’t do MY job.

well said and I agree. This is likely happening nationally and not just affecting Rx business. Let’s not compromise Glaucoma business for Restasis (remember Red and Blue are actually comp’d on that?) seems to have gone out the window. I’m not about losing money to pay for the Green rep’s salary.

we don’t need help in Glaucoma offices that Rx dry eye. It’s a disaster waiting to happen by getting locked out. You fail to see this. It’s already happening.

The problem is that when offices don’t want them and there is no need for them, there is not much we can do. Therefor, this affects how we do our job. I am already not talking about Restasis because I know I have someone (actually 2 people- and one of which only has Restasis) coming in right behind me to talk about this 20 year old drug and annoying doctors and staff. This is no gift to us. If they were calling on the low decile OD’s that are writing Xiidra and don’t have a Restasis rep, than that would be a gift.

That is exactly what I was trying to make you understand. Of course with the exception of getting kicked out of offices. That is why communication and teamwork is imperative. Is working with more resources easy? Yes it is if you work together.

I know how to explain this to you above, dude. No one is walking AWAY from the product! There have historically been 2 or more reps promoting Restasis already and we are ALL comp’d on it. Therefore we are still selling it. If this rollout was done properly and executed to increase SHARE of voice then the reps would have been targeted with the low decile docs and white space! Simple enough. 3 reps on ONE product in the SAME office where they’re already scripting is the dumbest move in history. Take the low volume docs and grow them! Take the Xiidra ODs and grow them!

100 agree with this post. There is no fear. This is coming from a highly successful long term Restasis rep. The fear is shut down of access and lack of Glaucoma understanding. Going into a multi specialty, multi physician office with only 1 or 2 targets and the existing Res and Blue already call on will hurt Glaucoma business, which is something they’re not even comp’d on. We are not onboard with that trade off. There are still offices not seeing reps post Covid, and sometimes only long term reps can get in and have access. I won’t give up those relationships or access.

The market grew 4 plus years ago with entry of a new competitor and SHARE OF VOICE. Maybe we had representation but the change in market uptake is not explained in your hypothesis. We should be that share of voice. There are more important things for you to worry about.
