Reps per District???

Even with those numbers, be prepared for more cuts for resp. in the future. Look at the $ sales for IPF. 4-5 TIMES higher than resp. Look how many reps they have in the nation, about 100 give or take. Resp. is completely and totally doomed.

Yeah and to top that off with ipf lincare accounted for 90% of ofev sales. Now they are out of the picture the future is unknown with the low life expectancy with that disease

you are both losers for bickering. Try ~450 territories for resp, and ~500 for diabetes. 1 rep per territory for resp, 245 overlays plus 1 per territory for diabetes. Give or take a dozen territories when this all settles. Bottom line, is that Resp got a huge haircut, and Diabetes some pruning of dead wood, but essentially a boost for Jardiance CV indication. No specialists anymore. No CSC's pretending to be specialists.

Resp is probably about 300 BI, 150 Ashfield, and ALL placements moving forward will be Ashfield. There may be an opportunity for an Ashfield RESP overlay force (like diabetes at 245) but that got tabled for later this year. Diabetes and Diabetes overlay has some Ashfield embedded but nothing like Respiratory. The failure of STIOLTO totally sealed the fate of the legacy BI resp force.

Its amazing to me how many people fail to look at the big picture. This industry is incredibly incestuous, it functions like a bunch of lemmings all reacting pathetically late to obvious trends in pharma that even the lamest rep stumbling around in a haze could see. Just look at what Merck did last year if you want to view your future, all PC products shoved in one bag, massive rep layoffs and a reduction in managers of 50%+. With managed care dominating what ultimately gets prescribed and dwindling physician access ,(which by the way, only gets worse as reps methodically piss off the few remaining open offices by dragging in their overpaid babysitter manager in every other week) it’s a wonder this job still even exists . Better buckle up baby! Because this deli-slinging cushy pharma gig is about to hit some big ass pot holes

So funny and so true! There is zero need for 50% of the professional baby sitters and their useless diaper filling districts
Big changes a coming - just wait. Gonna be a blue Christmas
