Relypsa

So that is why ZS may be acquired by Actelion.

ZS may be acquired by many other companies but it will not be Actelion....and... if both companies get acquired the purchase price for ZS will be significant higher than purchase price for Patiromer as long as the Nov long term data looks positive or equal to Patiromer.

If you interviewed or were in the running for an interview you would have an idea. I will say they are significantly overpaying on base due to the difficulty of getting people to sign on as sales representatives and DMs. I think they just finished hiring their sales team this month which is the same month as PDUFA. Kind of scary.

It should not be scary since they have Sanofi Renal division leading the way for the launch.
They are co promoting this and Sanofi may end up buying Relypsa who knows?

Yes thats just what will entice me is a small start up's own product being lead by a big pharma company who doesn't even own any piece of the product but is only being paid a set amount for a specific number of "details".

Great management, leadership and culture Relypsa!! Where do I sign up for this Rock Star opportunity.

Relypsa is Durata Therapeutics 2.0. Sales will start slow, competitor emerges, board decides to sell while stock is still respectful before they run out of $$$. Reps who came over with promises of high salaries & options get minimum payout and a 3 month severance. Senior mgmt. makes millions and disappears. Enjoy!

If you actually did your homework, you would know that Relypsa can not be acquired because of the Sanofi marketing agreement.

That gives us at least 2 years before we are bought & out of jobs...so not exactly Durata part 2, but thanks for trying.

You win the stupidest and most uniformed post on CP for the month. So far from being true...

Do you REALLY think your rag tag put together sales Team VP through Sales rep will be kept in a buyout?

If Sanofi decides to acquire you consider yourselves finished. Have to looked at the backgrounds and resumes of your RDs, Managers, VP sales?

I love when someone gets passed over for a job and they get so disgruntled, angry and jealous

I love it when that happens too...however I was the one who decided not to interview with this organization. All you needed to see were the clinical differences between Patiromer and ZS9 and that alone would make you do some serious digging which I did.

See post above regarding sales leadership. I'm not making anything up look on Linkedin for yourself and you judge the experience, success and overall accomplishments of this group to lead a start-up with an inferior product in a new market place!!

I understand all of that, but there is still plenty of space for two drugs! In light of everything, analysts are still projecting Veltassa to bring in somewhere between $500 million and $1 billion! That's not too shabby considering what I've been selling!
