Regional managers? What are they good for?

Finally someone who really wants to take care of the patient..I too feel sorry for the patient, especially those on O2, they never wanted to have to live like this..Yes Mom and Pops do a much better job..those stores are not run by corporate America. There are not so many employees that you do not know each other. Continue to do a good job and take care of that patient because the ones with the big companies are not being taken care of. Congratulations.

I'm a Rotech LCM located right beside a local "mom @ pop". As bad as my location is run and lacks referrals, it is a wonderful excuse to be able to blame my problems on them....or the S.R. (or lack of an S.R.).....or yet another pst quitting.......<insert excuse here>.
It's a good thing that I have another business on the side, because I'm amazed Rotech has kept me on so long with my track record. It might be that with Rotech, an LCM is always insulated, and is about as hard to fire as a bad government union employee.

You always feel you are tops b/c you run this pizza shop in your mind and stuff......trying to get everyone to believe you are the real LCM in W PA

There is a store to the E of you....that LCM has you beat anyday!!! They have taken down two stores in record time and is still standing as the LCM!!!

You have a long way to go before you can beat that.

What the hell is this person talking about? I sure hope that a rotech lcm would NOT write this nonsensical way in other official functions.

The current management is worthless.
1. They just recycle the "blue prints" hoping for a different outcome.
2. My LCM is the biggest idiot. She does not know how to manage people and there always seems to be interpersonal issues.
3. I am the 6 SR in 7 years. High turn-over tells you something about past success rates.
4. The PST are morons. At the morning meetings they respond "just tanks today" or tell a stupid story of someone's nice dog or a dirty house.
5. The RT is the biggest pompous SOB you would ever meet. He works at Rotech becausse no one else would hire him.
6. RMs are afraid of their shadow and have conference calls that are a total waste of everyone's time.

Well now Rotech, the problems start at the RM and higher and seem to increase as they go to the local stores.

Why is the "turn-over so high with Rotech? The must be an equal opportunity company that will hire anybody and then let them go.

Leading an "alternative" lifestyle while working with rotech is a sure way to have staying power. I have damaged beyond repair all of my local referral sources as an LCM, but they keep me anyway. If you want to make Rotech your career, come out of the closet and join us.

This made me laugh a little. When your PST tells you, the sales rep, the story of "someone's dirty house", do you ask if it's unsafe or if possibly the patient might benefit from help? Then do you take that info back to the doctor so he knows that someone in your location actually might care about this patient? Speaking of pompous SOB's...hope you don't fall and get hurt tripping over your own self-importance. Sorry, not a big fan of sales reps these days!

I'm a LCM and thought it would liven-up the meeting by sharings the humor of this site. It really made my employees appreciate the situation they are in. I hope the AM did not mind.

Come on Renee lets hear the reason why no one will stay..Heres your chance to shine..Tell us.

I have my share of things to say...however...in fairness, Rotech has always been MUCH stronger and more well-known in the southeast and southwest parts of the US. She's been the underdog for many years....just because someone holds feet to the fire and DEMANDS results and has no patience for excuses does not make them a bad manager.

Management is more than getting things done or undone. There is a wonderful example how the former CEO of Pfizer ran the company into the ground thru poor management and making enemies to top levels and inability to make decisions.
Rotech can learn from the mistakes of Pfizer in leadership and management because they are headed down that same road.

Management always takes companys down their to busy suckin up!

I'm an lcm, and therefore I AM management. All you complainers on this board are immature loudmouths, who should not even be on board with Rotech in the first place. As poorly as I have run my location over the years, management and I still see eye to eye. They keep me because they know I could initiate a lawsuit at anytime. If you all don't have the gull to situate yourselves as like my circumstances, then you deserve all the peon treatment that management can dish out to you.

Yea...Yea .....right......and I suppose you run a pizza shop on the side too during the day!

The LCM to the E of you STILL has you beat

When you lower yourself to participate here too....is that not saying YOU are one and the same with the group that whines???

Rotech has a lot more good going for it than bad and they are improving monthly

Pizza shops have nothing to do with it. And I do agree that there may be a few good people working for Rotech. It's their profit that keeps my doors open. You are right about improving monthly as well. I rented 2 nebulizers this month (one more than last month).
