Amazing how many ridiculous decisions have been made by folks in leadership to put total duds in leadership positions and replace/force out good leaders. It really makes you think hard about working for an organization that doesn't hold these folks accountable for their decisions/judgement.

Guys like Mike S. should be escorted out of the company for their stupidity and poor judgement. My manager told me (before he left BSC a couple years ago) that MS had a conf call with his managers right after Tim D announced his resignation. He made comments to his managers that shocked everyone. In an effort to calm the troops, he said the philly area was going to be fine and the folks who make the real difference weren't the managers but the sales reps. What an idiot. While we sales reps ARE the one's driving business, you don't get your managers on a call and belittle their role as leaders. Is this guy for real? My manager was in the trenches with me and did make a difference.

This is the kind of stupidity that has been allowed in the organization, yet... we force folks out like Matt O because the VP can't get out of his office unless he's (CH) picking a spreadsheet up from the printer down the hall. The last poster has been with BSC for 4 years and saw CH in the field once. That is laughable and consistent everywhere! As a sales rep, I'm cautiously optimistic about the new leadership. We needed a change at that level to perhaps correct the ridiculous things happening in the field. I only hope they are sharp enough to see through the talking point bs coming from guys like MS. Unbelievable!!

2 more BSC CRM (good) sales reps left for SJM recently (Kevin M & John B). Now that's great leadership. How many more will it take before someone upstairs opens their eyes.

Think about this. There are 6 division VP's and only 3 of them have CRM experience. Two of them (Crisman, Hartman), are incompetent. None of them have made a significant contribution to Guidant or BSCI. They are "B" players at best. Who knows what we are getting with the other divisional VP's? Maybe, if we wait too long to figure this out, there will be no BSCI CRM business left.

If you have the opportunity, get out now. Nobody "upstairs" cares about reps leaving. As sales plummet each quarter, RIF's will follow and the company will be sold. Just like when Guidant was sold, the pigs at the executive level will make millions and the everyone else will be screwed.

Here comes the spin doctors. Mike S. is already spinning things and acting like he has a bleeding heart amidst the latest challenge. The only thing he cares about is the money in his wallet. Worst actor we've ever seen.
